Are you on RateBeer.com?
Yeah, I have an account, but I post mostly on BA. Same username.

Nice. I've got a 3L of Supplication that I'm looking forward to opening!
Good LORD, that's gonna be a good night.
As a graduation gift to myselfe, I decided to buy expensive brews I've been desiring:
Cantillon 100% lambic kreik
Jolly Pumpkins Oro de Calabaza
Oud Beersel Gueze
Fantome Hiver
Hopworks 7-grain stout with stumptown coffee
De proef Zoetzuur
Vichtenaar
I really don't know what to expect from the Fantome, but I was curious about their ales. Really wanted to get JP's Maracaibo Especial, which is a brown with cocoa, cinnamon, and sweet orange peel, aged in oak with bacteria and wild yeast. The wide array of flavors melded amazingly well, but was stratified enough so that you could pick out all the complexities relatively easily. Highly recommended.

An interesting article to those who aren't familiar with the intricacies of Lambic:
Interesting read, thanks. Another really good article that discusses the wild ales being made in the US is Your Beer Smells Like Goat.

I'd love to get one. I could help you get into indietorrents or cinematik or a couple different movie trackers.

If you thought the lvr ones were in dollars, theyre not. Its in euros making them 320 dollars. They are MIJ.
I know its in euros, I did the conversion, and they have both MII and MIJ. That shipping cost if fucking ridiculous. Why would it be so high?

Or you could just use a Proxy service like most people and save yourself the hassle. $378 Shipped through thegrapist.
I'm looking at both sites that were linked, and finding raw jeans to be much less than that. Less than $300, actually, for what I'm guessing is the MII's, so why use a proxy?

Does anyone have any size advice on the Cali X Organic? Should I go true waist size with these, or are they a bit bigger or stretch much?
0 -
Will the waist be 32" post hot soak, or is that what they measure now?

Sadly, I believe Iron Army is defunct. I think Steve and Steve will be launching a new line soon, though.
Indeed. I forget the name of them, but the new jeans will be typewriter oriented.

That bulge is happening with my SJ's right now. It was much worse about a week ago, but the denim just below the knee is beginning to loosen up, so the build up just below the knee (which gives an irritating feeling) is decreasing. You could also try stretching the denim just below the knee too; this might make the transition from thigh to lower-leg a bit more smooth.

So I bought the black New Standards and the fit is noticeably better than my indigo new standards. I havent measured the two (both size 29) and compared, but the blacks fit so well im willing to bet there is a huge difference.
That would be cool if you could get some measurements up.

You bought one pair last week and now another? For the price of those two you could have one pair of the imperials, and zero crotch blowouts in six months.
Yeah, I could have, but now I can't.

pssst! forget the nudies! get the imperials!!!
They are like twice as much. I would love a pair, they just aren't in my price range.

They are the "Dry Indigo".
If you want the Dry Japan, call use and do a phone order next week after Tuesday, we'l have them and aren't charging any more for them.
Oh, cool. On Nudies sight I only saw 'dry' and 'dry japan' so I wasn't sure if 'dry indigo' was a different name for one of those. This is probably not the best place for this question, but do you happen do know how much the Dry Japan denim stretches? A few weeks ago I got the dry blacks which quickly stretched out a bit too much (31 for a true 32) so now the waist is kind of big and I have really big thigh+knee bulge and am wondering if a 30 in Dry Japan would be better (although this is probably asking for a crotch blowout).

Does anyone know if the Nudie Slim Jim Dry Indigos on the site are the Dry Japans?

So you wouldn't get Nudies just because many other people have them? Thats stupid. You shouldn't let the ass' of others determine what you buy. It's not like your jeans will look just like theirs after fading.

I'm looking at getting Earnest Sewn's Hutch in raw and was wondering if anyone had any size advice. In pretty much all my jeans I size down one size from my natural waist, including my Slim Jims. Should I do this with Earnest Sewn, or do they fit more true to size?

Is there not anyone who knows how many inches the waist has stretched out over a few months wear?
0 -
So should I assume that 2" of stretching is about average?
0 -
id say get a 31. a 30 will be way too uncomfortable to break in. my waist is about the same as yours, and i wear size 31 black ns for "slim/skinny" fit, and 32 indigo ns for "slim/straight" fit. raw blacks are available at the APC stores.
I probably should have said that my true waist is ~32in. I measured a pair of jeans that I frequently wear which are low rise and have a great fit, and they were about 34". If I got a 31, and if the NS stretched more than an inch, then they would be too big, and it seems like people are saying that they stretch more than that.

How many inches to the NS's stretch in the waist for you guys? Does 2" sound about right? A comfortable size in the waist for me is about 34" so I'm thinking that a 30 would be good unless they stretch more/less than 2".
And where are the raw blacks found?

I sized down one on my Regular Ralfs. They stretched to a slim comfortablish size. It depends on what you are used to wearing. If you're used to wearing slim jeans and typically get a 31, get a 30. If you're used to wearing looser jeans, stay true to size. That being said, I have the Dry Selvage, so your results might be different.
When you say you sized down, do you mean down from what you generally wear? My Gap size is 31 and though they aren't too tight when I get them, I do anticipate the stretch. A direct comparison to Gap jeans would be good (and I get the low-rise boot).

How much do Nudie's Regular Ralf Dry Cast stretch? I generally wear a 31w (like in Levis and Gap), but am looking at getting a 30w. Would they stretch out enough to be comfortable?

For sure hit up The Horse Brass. They have a great selection of fantastic beers, and they serve scotch eggs. Belmont Station is also a 5min walk away - they are a beer store with a small beer cafe with about 10 taps I think of also awesome beer. I hardly ever go up to Portland but it seems that when I do, 9/10 I end up at the brass.
