  1. Finally...I just arrived here in Jakarta, sorry I was stuck on the long flight from Sydney to Jakarta.

I will be able to take some shoot before it goes to shipping office tomorrow morning.

Thank you for being so passion.

Please email me if you have any questions.

Anymore updates here? Has everything been shipped?

  2. Got my classic cut today - I didn't get the right size I should have got I swear I meant to order them a little larger than i did eep. The denim is pretty weak so i doubt it will last that long.

  3. Even if those jeans are sandpapered ( I don't think they are) I don't see why people are so against this - and starching for that matter. In the end it still brings out a pair of jeans unique to the owner.

I guess in this case being a "contest" I can see why it's frowned apon but overall I think that if you go and distress your jeans manually you're just helping along the canvas that denim is anyway. In this end it just looks like art (grungy, smelly, dirty art) which is why we like denim so much I guess.

I wouldn't sandpaper my own jeans personally since the last time I tried it, it looked like crap anyway - but if you've got a talent for that kinda thing - why not?

  4. I really like bills style - it's an interesting contrast with the tattoo sleeve and the old style clothing. His clothes fit well and he has awesome boots. It sounds like he's got an awesome lifestyle too. *green with jealousy*

  5. God i hope they fit - I took a stab in the dark. Looking at the pre-wash measurements if they stretch back out a little they'll be perfect in the size i got but um - this could be bad :(.

  6. I wear a 31 APC NS also...but it's pretty tight on me, I have to go through great lengths to stretch it enough so that it isn't skin tight on the thighs.

I wear a 33 in Samurai 0500xx, which is basically the same thing sizing-wise as Samurai 5000vx.

It would also help if you put them on and sat in a hot bath (to shrink them yourself), that way the waist wont ever shrink too small. I used BiG one-wash service...thus the pain in getting the waist to stretch. At first I couldn't even come CLOSE to buttoning top button. After 30 mins I could button it (kinda painfully). After maybe a day, the waist wasn't bothering me anymore. And today the Sams are a per-fect fit for me.

Also...depending on how short you are and if you are willing to cuff, I would just have your 5000s one-washed and then hemmed to maybe an inch or 2 bigger than your normal inseam length. The hem of the jean is too big to stack without dragging on the ground, for me anyways.

So...if you are a baggy 31 APC NS, 32 in S5000vx will prob work for you. Keep in mind it may be very tight at first, but it WILL STRETCH.

Thats good info thanks! Yeah my 29 APC's fit fine in the waist but my thighs are massive and don't fit. Samurai thigh measurements look just about right - so um 32 it is. Thank you for your information!

  7. So i've sent my RM williams in to be resoled (the welted sole in like 7 months developed a gaping wound somehow :() So now i'm replacing it with a brass screwed sole like on my RM bushmans. It's been in for 3 weeks now which is crazy since I actually live in Adelaide were they are made. I hope they are done soon bushman are neat and all but not as comfy as my craftsman thanks to the Cuban heel.

But i'll have some pics up of the job once i get them back!

  8. Hey guys, I was thinking about picking up some 5000VX's however I'm a little confused about sizing. Now I understand they are shrink to fit - So according to blue in green a 32 is a 34 before shrinking and should become a 32 after shrinking. If I normally wear a 32 in lee's and a 31 in APC (albeit they're both pretty loose after stretching) would this be a good size for a slim but not skin tight fit? I'm a little scared with no experience with STF type's before and given once they've been wet you can't really return them :( I'm worried about dropping 300+ (including shipping). Mind you APC's in 29 even after stretching are too tight if that gives anymore indication on what I need.

  9. I agree on two counts - (1) RMW fit very close to the foot. Actually for me, they are about the best fitting boot right out of the box that I've ever had on. I ran 5 miles in a pair of Craftsman a few times (forget what the heck I was doing!). Inserts would only make them cramped and too small. (2) The sizing in Alden, Whites and Red Wings are remarkably similar. All classic American brands!

agreed my craftsman's fit amazingly - yet strangely the same size in a different type of RMW boot is much larger :(. They're really cool looking though maybe once i wear my foot shape into the leather they'll be a bit more comfy. My craftsman's have huge dints in the sole where the balls of my feet have pushed into them, it makes them really comfy :).

  10. So I picked up some RMW Bushman's on ebay for 80 AU (almost new!) However they're just a wee bit too large. I've whacked in some random supermarket insoles and they make them fit pretty muich perfectly however they don't sit too well since they're cuban heels :( (plus i have size 12 feet). Does anyone know of insoles that're designed for this type of boot?

  11. One thing i have not being able to find is how to care for the elastic on elastic sided boots. My RM Williams boots are perfect aside from the elastic which is getting a little grotty and i have no idea how to clean that part. Any suggestions?

Also if anyone interested i live in Adelaide and might look at checking out the factory where they are made they have a storefront there i'll take lots of pics and report back here !

Also there isn't enough interest here for them - they're amazing. They basically require no wear in time they're comfy walking out of the store. Tough as nails too.

  12. maybe because of the racial connotations...

Someones a little precious to jump on the racial bandwagon. A name is a name and early American presidents seems fitting for a pair of denim in my opinion.

Seriously is my brother a supporter of racism ? His first name is Lincoln i'd hate for him to meet you lest you think less of him for his name.

The jeans look very nice - i'd love to try a pair one day, I wonder how they'd look on a skinnier guy? I'm not tiny like a lot of people here but not as large as the model (no offence) so it'd be interesting to see the cut on someone my size.

  13. if the New Cures are a bit too tight (think stuffed sausage..), will they stretch over time along with the waist?

    My standards did.

Having said that it's probably ideal to go a size up - i don't think anything is meant to last when they're under stuffed sausage pressure.

  14. My immediate work colleges in sales make fun of my jeans - yet the help desk nerds don't have a problem with my jeans they have a problem with my man bag Oh the humanity.

I just joke around either way whenever a comment is made on either - make fun of my bag i point to my jeans and say "well i'm not going to fit anything in these am i?"

Meh it's best not to get offended and just take it as a compliment in that at least you know who's wearing the better.

  15. Fit looks great from the back - but the crotch seems a little long in the front pic - but i guess i'm just used to supertight sufu fits.

They look amazingly well constructed. Try taking shots with the model standing with his legs a little further apart feet flat to the floor.

    I think i'd consider buying a pair

  16. The outer selvage seam on my APC's has always been kinda lose since i got them (they've split in such a way none of my other "lesser" jeans have.) The knee for example you can almost see my leg through the whole there.

I'm pretty sure it's dodgy craftsmanship in this case that wasn't apparent when i got them until i started towear them.

Anyway is there a way to fix this - it looks like if i sew another line of thread down it it should fix it at the moment from the inside the thread looks rather lose on one side.
