Any recommendations on something from a Japanese maker with a similar fit to the LVC 1967 505's or the Lee 1966 101z's (slimmer fit, but with a higher rise)?

notice that they are ORANGE TAB...I thought that they were originally Red Tab????

Also, country of origin is given as Imported...I know that that sort of info from the Levi site is unreliable at best, but it sure gives me pause...

The Levis site says they'll shrink an inch in the waist and length - is this correct, or will they lose two inches or so like the other raw LVCs?

For those that were wondering, I can confirm that the cuts of the 1000XX and 1001XX are the same - only the cotton is different. I just got a pair of 1001's (with tab and arcs - thanks Parachutes!) and the fit is identical to my 1000's. Damn shame these were discontinued.
