  1. With the tag and patch shown, this is definitely not from the late 60s/early 70s, it's a 1990's Type III. Also, if it was from the late 60s/early 70s it would probably be a "Big E" on the tab and you're going to need to be very, very lucky to get one in wearable condition for $48.

Appreciate it big time! Thanks for the help. I threw it in the wash right after I took those photos. I'll post some more soon!

  2. Crosspost from Levi's Thread:

Recently picked up this jacket in the vintage section of a shop called Una Mae's in Chicago. I don't know much about it, but the wear on it is incredible and for $48 I couldn't pass it up. Hoping you guys could get me some info on it, anyone able to identify the type for me and tell me when it was made?

  4. Not related to the denim, but does anyone know what font typeface APC uses for their logo and branding? Can't track down the correct font...

  5. For those that have purchased box logo hoodies... How fast will those run out? Is it gonna be like instasoldout and crash the site or will I have more than 30 seconds to robocawp?

Obviously this is long after the point but every size/color of the box logo hoodie (with the exception of a couple sizes in the acid green) were gone by 11:02 NYC time.

Got a question for the sufu mafia: do any of you know what type of pullover supreme uses for their sweatshirts? mainly their pieces like the box logo hoodie and their zip up hoods? the only information I've been able to find is that they're a 'heavyweight crossgrain fleece' (that's from supreme's site) and I'm guessing it's a 12-14 oz. fabric? I'd like to get a generic crewneck that won't be $150 and want to find out who sells these things wholesale. I can't find any more information anywhere. anybody got an ss account who would know?

  6. am i the only one feelin this?

definitely not alone. corduroy is slick! feelin the backpacks too-- diggin the simplicity. honestly not a bad price too. bought a north face backpack a couple years back and it was about $100. $136 for something very purple-label esque is relatively reasonable to me.

  7. Well don't you sound high and mighty. Maybe some people would think you're a "fanboy" or "herb"???

no intention to sound better than anyone else. I appreciate the brand for more than its popularity right now.

  8. I've had mixed feelings about the explosion of the brand-- I think it's dope they're getting recognition from all over the place, but an obvious implication of the kind of success they're having will be the fanboys and herbs repping anything with a box logo. Preme has been one of my favorite brands since I discovered them years back because of their 'I don't give a damn' attitude and the quality of their pieces. By no means do I love every piece they drop, but I respect them just as much now as I did when I first saw their collections. I don't their mainstream exposure necessarily means they've 'jumped the shark,' I mean if they did I don't think they'd drop a tee with a hairy vagina on it (see SS '12 [i believe] collection).

  9. found a pair of the 15 oz selvedge weird guys in raw today for a steal and jumped on them. Got the top button with some effort, but I want to know if/how much these bad boys stretch. first pair of N&F and mad stoked on them, been stuck in the apc world for a while now. they fit great, just a little tight on the hips. hope somebody can let me know how much they give over time!

  10. getting towed when there is no sign in front of, or immediately to the left or right of, my car stating I cant park somewhere. why. stealing money from college students makes you a scumbag.

  11. are the nc more tapered than the ps? or the other way around?

    new cure>petit standard>new standard>rescue

I'm somewhat new to good denim and I've had my new pair of APC NS for about 3 or 4 weeks now. I love them except for one thing: the knee bunch. The front of the knee sticks out enough that it looks really weird. Anything I can do about this? If it matters, I got them hemmed immediately upon getting them (I don't care for the super stacked look but there's still enough length to cuff them). What can I do? Would a wash help loosen them up so it doesn't pop out like that?

also, I usually wear a 30 and these are 28.

this is just a result of wearing raw/tapered denim. the slimmer the jean, the greater the 'knee bulge.' the new standard isnt considered skinny by any means, but it's still a slim straight. I would even argue that the new standard in production now is even slimmer than the new standard apc produced 4 or 5 years ago. as mentioned above, once you run them through the wash and get all the starch out, the bulges will be less extreme- but until then it's just the way it is with apc. if you dont want gnarly knee bulges then get rescues (Ive had ns, rescues, and am currently working on nc). youll be aight. just wear those things into the ground, and get the crotch repaired when it gives out
