  1. 'and their refinement of the decline' from stars of the lid is my fav ambient record of all time...

    a must have!!

nadja is also worth a checkout.

very dark, some records are more ambient, some are more drone and noisy. also live a fuckin great band.

white rainbow's new clouds was the latest record i bought from this genre.very experimental.

fuck buttons meets 'tarzan' meets whatever.

    just good music.

too much bands to mention, maybe you like some of them. :)

    cheers.

"...and I wish for all these things for you

keep it special, make it true

    cause I found you,

    and there you are..."

  5. I was going to ask if my last two images seemed too sharp but didn't bother but someone messaged me about it. How do you guys deal with images that are too sharp. I haven't done any sharpening to these, just a web resize, and I thought these looked to sharp...

EDIT: Shot in RAW so no in camera sharpening was applied, and sharpening is turned off in ACR.

    mmh, i thought it's your camera pre-settings.

you used a open aperture, so there is always more sharpness on your focus, but this is not natural at all...

    which programm do you use?

some of them sharpen your picture if you resize them for web.

  7. hi guys, thought I'd quickly check about bikes in Paris. I'll be there for approximately five months, and am hoping to pick up something to ride while I'm there as opposed to dragging my bike across the Atlantic. I've checked the Paris craigslist and the pickings seem incredibly limited. can anyone recommend bike shops/websites to look for a secondhand fixed gear in paris? if it makes a difference, I'm looking to spend 300-400 euro and need something in the 56-58 range size wise.

    check the guys @ cyclope.

    great guys.

not sure if they have something in your price range, but i'm sure they'll help you out...

or just ask on the message board @ pignon fixe

    cheers

    edit:

    or just check your flight?!

on most transatlantic flights you can travel with your bike for free.

  8. not sure if this fits in here, but i just saw the most beautiful video since weeks and you said you're interested in experimental violinist music...

i'm not a musician myself, but this band inspired me a lot.

warren ellis and the dirty three ladys and gents. <3

    NzoAwcg0gsQ

in terms of "classical" music i'm a big fan of steve reich

  11. i've always been curious about the small plastic/rubber tube thats covering a small portion of your toptube. wuts it made of and why should it be there?

it's a small tobtube protector, so you can't get dents from your stem or handlebar.

i think it's just plastic and a small metal plate.

a friend uses handlebartape, which works fine and is much cheaper than this kashimax thing. :)
