  1. Also, I had the pleasure of meeting the one and only Bandit Photographer/Cory Piehowicz at Mister Freedom last weekend. He's a really down to earth guy and I wish I could have talked to him more but the store was just about to close.

I was in the middle of saying "Are we looking tough or are we looking happy?"

He said tough. It didn't work.

  2. I will say, the one thing that Raleigh has on other Cone brands is they don't just use the same stock denim. It's still white oak cotton but not the same shade of blue everyone is using.

  3. I can not say much for Paulrose but as for my elephant 2's i would have to say they are a 100% DO NOT COP. My have had a blow out by the fly that the company reswed after 3 weeks in the mail. a ripped button hole my nice neighborhood taylor fixed for me and just the other day the patch caught an edge on a chair as i say down and nearly ripped clear off my jeans. the thigh inside seam was shredding really early on and ive had to get a huge butt patch and reenforcment sewn into to keep from a croth blowout already. The denim is heavy as hell. The color is nice. They fade really easily, but I whole heartedly have to stear you away from them.

They just started to fade too and I was really likeing them when the patch most recently came undone. I am appaled at the construction of these jeans, and in the N&F thread have seem other blowouts and popped buttons. Even if the company fixes it free the $20 and 3 weeks in the mail was terrible.

I truely hope I just had a bad experience with these and others will prove me wrong.

Yeah, I had them, hated them, then sold them. They're just one of cheap options out there.

  4. They've got a shop on Abbott Kinney across from the Stronghold (which was revived by the guys behind Von Dutch...) in LA. It's relatively small but their denim feels pretty nice. The only real aspect that makes them stand out is their raw denim is offered in a few different colors like olive and burgundy. And they have a ladies' line. Maybe it's just me but I feel like the quality is at Naked & Famous levels but twice the price.

  5. you guys are over thinking all this hot weather and denim. If it's to hot and you can't handle it, just don't wear them. Put on a pair of shorts, go about your day and then in the comfort of your nice and air condition home, plop them on.

    won and done.

    Quote for truth.

It's a 2 year contest. Don't worry. It won't kill you guys to take a break when it's too hot. Besides, hot weather is a good enough reason to have a summer pair to break in anyway.
