Old friends:
The crotch-rip that almost won:
An inadvertent before and after:
Remember when they looked like that? I don't...

Photo heavy, but these are worth a look. Oneculture jeans:
Pre-soak:
Post-soak:
A very fine pair of jeans. The guy who makes them frequents the mynudies forums. http://houseofoneculture.wordpress.com/

confurious, did you get the regular fit or slim fit?
did you wash them or soak them?
These are slim fits, and they were neither washed nor soaked. The jeans are absolutely sanforized, so it's unnecessary.

I am thoroughly impressed with the quality, even considering that my most recent purchase (the PBJs) were jaw-droppingly awesome.
These are considerably heavier than all previous pairs I had purchased from this label, and the denim is actually raw (as apposed to the one washes from two years ago).
Thick, super stiff Japanese Selvage denim for $79 USD. Not a bad deal at all.
Clearly, these are a good bit shorter than most of the jeans I usually buy. But considering the hell I put my hems through, I don't think that's a problem.
Yes, for the time being, the PBJs are going to be retired from regular wear. They have been great companions, so it's a bit bittersweet...

Perhaps even more available than before...and cheaper. 90 USD. Last price drop.

As available as they were the last time. Price drop to 100 USD.

did you remove the leaf?
looking good +rep
Thanks! And no, I did not remove it, but time and wear certainly did.

i just don't find the fit flattering anymore. I think something that slim in the thighs deserves to be tapered.
Keep in mind, they are freshly washed right now and have slimmed down considerably. After a week or so of wear, the proportions balance out nicely. They certainly won't be tapered.

Still available.
110 USD.

Now:
Never was satisfied with the old fit pics I had. Not looking for rep (though always appreciated), but I figured I would share a before and after for fun. God knows how many times these have been washed. I'll be picking up something new this summer.

For sale pictured above, an almost (but not quite) new pair of Kicking Mule Workshop 2010 Jeans. The pictures speak for themselves. Beautiful, beautiful jeans. Jean which, unfortunately, do not fit me the way I would like. They have undergone some alteration (professionally tailored) and consequently, no longer have the selvage along the outseam. The fit has been tailored and resembles that of the 1950 cut.
They are a Rinse (essentially a one wash) and otherwise, have not been washed by me at all. There is some slight discoloration on the interior just below the rear patch. The exterior patina is completely unaffected. These have practically no wear on them.
Measurements are as follows:
Waist - 16" flat (32")
Rise - 10"
Thighs - 10 1/4"
Knee - 8 3/4"
Inseam - 31 1/2"
Hem - 8 1/4"
These retail for 275 USD. I am asking 120 USD. Payments through Paypal accepted.

What the fuck thrift stores do you people shop at lol
Well mine was a local thrift shop near my school. Though reputed to have fantastic prices and selection, I never expected this. Due to the price, I am assuming whoever was pricing the items that day had no idea what he/she was handling. Given that the store deals mostly in more mainstream designer denim labels, it's not surprising that it was priced so low. Wouldn't know quality denim if it slapped them in the face...

Close. They were 2010s originally and now fit somewhere between the 1950 and the 1980. If MIJ stands for "made in Japan" then yes, absolutely.

And now for something completely different.
Kicking Mule Workshop. I found these at my local thrift store for 13 dollars. Despite being a fit I never even considered wearing, one can make exceptions for the sake of an amazing deal.
Before^
After^
She (my tailor) has once again exceeded my expectations on most every level imaginable. While selvage was lost, I think I have found my new project for the summer.

they look great, but the original pictures on the road hardly resemble the fit pics. contrast was obviously jacked up a decent amount. that's probably more common than we like to think here. i guess i really don't care what you do with your pictures though, so happy editing...
I won't say there were not any contrast adjustments, as I always tinker to achieve the closes resemblance to the actual patina (this includes color and white balance on occasion) but I will say that the lighting indoors will almost invariably produce different results. Contrast was a bit exaggerated though, no lie.

my lil sis saw those pbjs and was like''he's a beast''. please get something mij(no diss to imp or ald). neither of those two euro brands is on par with what you're wearing now.I have to agree with salaami here...please don't get Imp's or Alt's...it just feels like a step in the wrong direction.
Point taken. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

I did a bit of adjustment to compensate for some poor lighting conditions and shoddy white balance adjustment, but yes, the hems are as....trashed as the look. Doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Fit and whatnot. Both taken indoors.

They are size 30.

Always a pleasure Coni. Did you size down?
Thank you. And no, I did not.

PBJ xx-005
The top photo is the most consistent with the actual patina. Last set for a little while. I really want to go for a full year on these but the desire for a new pair has been pretty strong as of late (Imperial, Atelier LaDurance, who knows). We'll see...

Cross-post from the evo thread:
I had to take these photos inside on account of the snow. Weep for the hems if you must. I won't be. Very pleased with the lighting (aside from the obvious highlights). The top two are "almost" perfectly accurate representations of the actual patina.

The oneculture jeans from way back. A friend for whom they fit better than me is wearing them well. :-)
I'll keep an eye on them. They are turning out rather nice, and more importantly, have my friend extremely enthusiastic about the concept of dry denim. Nothing like a little denim missionary work, heh.
