  1. hi this style of tattoo art is called "punctuation" please google it thanks

sorry, googled the shit out of this to no avail?

just photos of fat girls with quotation marks on their shoulders

    EDIT

managed to find something closer to what i'm talking about --

    tat1.jpg

    tat2.jpg

Artist is Holly Azzara from MA -- especially liking the black well-defined strokes mixed with the soft color. Wish I could find somewhat of a name for this style though -- difficult to find

  2. sorry ahead of time for my lack of artistic vocabulary

    buuutt

i saw a guy with this insane tattoo of a cowboy on a bronco, but the shading was unlike any other tattoo I've seen. It was definitely stylized as though it were war era, but the colors looked like such soft strokes (like with a paint brush)

sorry again for this awkward description, but does anyone know any more info on this style (/an artist in ny that'll do it well)?

    best

    EDIT

so i found an image online and photoshopped to give an idea of what i'm not talking about. although in practice, the tattoo had smooter brush strokes than this:

  3. so i need a recommendation for a tattoo artist in nyc that does well with black ink. i want a really elegant cushioned antique chair (the kind you would find on the inside of my bicep with no color.

the chair would be something like this (and at this angle):

    any takers?

  4. yo man do you have any more pictures of that, that's pretty much what I want to do with my hair right now.

yeah, but after finals week, my hair [and life] is [are] not normal.

  5. virgin american is typically the cheapest, depending on the days picked its between $225 and $450 round trip. typical is $299.

i think airtran flies la to nyc, if they do hit them up for x fares -- standby ticket for under $100

i don't think they call it x fares anymore, however

  6. hi everyone

today i tried some fragrances and i narrowed to maybe 3 that i like alot. i am 34 and need something versatile perhaps for night occasions

    John Varvatos (too oldman?)

    or

    YSL L'Homme (too sweet?)

    or

    Terre D'Hermes (too peppery?)

    please advice thank you all

I personally have the YSL L'Homme and Varvatos Vintage (don't quite remember how it compares to his self-named fragrance). The YSL is definitely good for a casual day. It is pretty sweet, but that was something my wardrobe was lacking. The Vintage is my favorite, but is definitely suited for a not-so-casual day/night time wear. I haven't tried the Terre, but I would go with Tangerine's suggestion as I know the other two are not very versatile.

  7. the styling te second pic is terrible. It looks as if you tried to hard with in the wrong direction.

Yeah, I was trying to make it the way it was before butchering... meh -- I believe it looks decent slightly more to the front, but still parted at the side. Otherwise it looks superwhitetrash

Oh, and I wasn't able to get it to the back, I don't think any product will hold it down there.

  8. Chauvinistic as it may sound, my experience indicates that males cut hair better than females. I've been going to a great place in the city for a while now and have thoroughly liked every cut except for todays (first time a lady cut it there). After styling it myself, its not all that bad -- she just didn't listen. I wanted the back cleaned up 1/2" off the front at most.

In any case, here's my hair a few days ago:

    and now:

    Critique?
