Wow, didn't expect to see a knife thread here.
I used to be big into modern production folders with a few exceptions, got to the point where I was buying semi-custom and custom pieces. I've pretty much sold off everything that I wasn't using, regret it a little.
What I have on hand now from left to right, Spyderco Salt I, Spyderco waved Delica 4, Spyderco waved Endura 4, Spyderco Ocelot, Spyderco Pacific Salt, Benchmade 730 (Ares).
Bonus pic of a small Sebenza Classic with micarta inlays that I sold.

I usually wear an Alpha MA-1, which, if you're familiar with the fit, is pretty short from collar to waist but otherwise a full cut. Usually just throw it on over a T, but with colder weather am trying to layer more. Anything other than button up shirts that goes with the general aesthetic without adding to the bulkiness? Slim cut hoodie?

I would have picked the SC's...nicer denim.
Is there a substantial difference in the denim or the dye job? I've read through the SDA site but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of super-technical stuff.

I'd go with SDA's.
Given the 301 and the 1947 cut seem similar, any particular reason why?

Studio D'Artisan SD-301s or Sugar Cane 1947 repro?

Sugar Cane 1947 repro one-wash over APC Rescue for first premium jean? They cost about the same, and Sugar Cane of course has a great rep. Any other Japanese maker come close in terms of price range/quality?

Anyone know where I might be able to pick up a pair of SC Lee repros (33 or 34W)? Would prefer a Japanese site.
Also, would sizing down one (in terms of actual waist) in a one-wash be a good idea? Or just go with true waist size.

You need to include a size with that... preferably the labeled size, and what they actually measure. Otherwise there's no way to recommend a similar fitting jean.
(a 28 with those proportions is a lot different than a 34)
Yeah, just realized that. 34W/32L, but they're maybe a size big at the waist for me.

The fit of the current production regular fit Lee jeans fits me a lot better than most cuts I've found. Recommend something with similar specs in better denim?
Front rise: 11"
Thigh: 12"
Knee: 8.25"
Leg opening: 7.5"

Does anyone else make a hoodie with an oversized hood like the Chronicles of Never one? Preferably for less.

How's the quality on the newer Red Wings? Anybody have problems with the stitching?

I have fairly wide hips in relation to my waist, so I have to size up in order to get a decently comfortable fit. Eventually the jeans stretch, and I end up wearing them lower than I'd like (or with a belt).
Anything I can do to improve the fit? Or do I just have to deal.

Bump, price reduced. I'll be able to answer PMs until maybe Thursday, then I'm gone for a few days.

I have for sale a LNIB black iPod Video, 30GB capacity, 5th generation.
I've taken it out of the box once and hooked it up but didn't transfer anything onto it. I've also opened the packaging of the earbuds that come with, but they haven't been used. The plastic screen protector is still on the iPod. Essentially brand new.
These are going for around $215-250 open-box and new, plus international shipping on ebay; I'm asking $160 shipped via standard small parcel unless otherwise negotiated, payment by PayPal only please.
Also open to some trades, mostly denim. I wear about 33W.
Contact me via PM, and we can work out the details. I have a bunch of references elsewhere if you need them. Item is currently in Vancouver.

Browsing ebay, another one of those Chrome Hearts-style pieces.
Yes, no, maybe? I dig it in some strange part of me. Plus it's pretty cheap.

Do you want to spend 50-100 on all the jeans, or each pair? To be honest, decent jeans will cost more than that. But if you're just starting out and want to learn more, you could either go with a pair of standard Levi's shrink-to-fit, or maybe Cheap Monday's...or maybe a pair of APC new standards from the marketplace or ebay.
Each pair. Just getting into denim, and I've read a bunch about the Levi/Gap/Uniqlo stuff (under or about $50) and the higher end stuff ($100+), but there doesn't seem to be much in between. Don't have a problem spending more on a good pair, but I'm wanting to get a look at different cuts and so on without investing lots.
Thanks for the response.

I want to pick up a couple pairs of decent jeans, in the $50-$100 range for now. Recommend a few brands? I'm short at a little over 5'7" with a heavy build, so nothing ultra-skinny.

Size down one from true size for Sugar Cane one-wash?
