I took my 005's to a tailor to get them tapered down to a better hem width (7.5 in would be fucking perfect) but he insisted that it wasn't possible to do the taper on only the inside leg because of the stitching or something.

How are all of you having yours tapered? I could have sworn that I saw people here that had theirs tapered on the inside leg only to keep the selvage.

assuming it's from a legit address, i think what usually happens in cases like this is that they want to make sure you aren't using the account for anything sketchy - i've heard of people having to provide ID and documents before

generally, from what i've heard, the way it works is you go back and forth with customer service, fax them the documents they need, and then they lock your account and take all your money

Are you sure that the non-Dugan one on the Spiewak website is the same as the one that is for sale for cheap at galls? The picture on the galls website has different looking button number/placement than the non-Dugan one on Spiewak's website.

Hey, where are you located? I've got a pair of 32s that have been through a hot soak (wanted to shrink them, didn't shrink nearly as much as I'd hoped); only worn once.

I'm in NY - if you have pics of your pair I'd definitely be up for a trade or something.

I'm selling my PBJs for the sake of my balls. Tagged size 31. Have had a lukewarm soak and about 12 (light) wears.

Thanks for the replies guys. I get the impression that most of the serious shrinking is done in the first soak/wash, rather than "after several washes" like the BiG site says. One last question to help me decide - would an initial hot soaking cause significantly more shrinkage than cold soaking? I'm thinking that since these don't stretch like APCs a hot-soaked pair of 32s may be the not-too-tight fit I'm looking for.

Just picked up a pair of the raw 005's in size 31 at BiG as my first serious denim purchase, and I have a feeling that they aren't going to fit right. I gave them a lukewarm soak instead of a hot one, and even then they're still a little too snug in the thighs after a week of wear. If they will stretch like crazy I will probably keep them, but if they will continue to shrink with washes I will probably get a size up and make sure to hot soak them.

I'm on the fence because the BiG guy said they stretch a lot, but people around here have also been saying that if they fit you good raw (like these did) they will shrink to be too tight.
