Just wondering if anyone knows where to get replacement zippers from - accidentally snagged one and the pull part of the slider snapped off.

I've sussed out the YKK site and it looks like it's this one: http://www.ykkfastening.com/products/zipper/slider/zipper_type/coil_zipper/5cn/5cn_dsbyg.html

But doesn't look like I can purchase from YKK as a retail customer. Any help would be much appreciated!

  2. I remember reading Neuromancer a couple of years back. As much as it was a bit hard to get into, I read it in 2 or 3 installments and think that probably it's the best way. In retrospective, it's an amazing book in the sense that nothing... makes sense, it's just so out there, but the story still maintains a certain thread and remains somehow logical. It's a really rewarding book.

On the other hand I tried to read The Peripheral and had the same feeling as you seem to have right now. I can't project myself in this imaginary world, which is a crazier but less abstract one than in Neuromancer, and I can't seem to be able to focus on my reading for more than 1/2 hour or so. So I put it on hold.

Spook Country is an enjoyable quick nice read, much easier as well, recommended too. I am starting Zero History of the same trilogy at the moment, but haven't gone too far. I had to buy some books with a gift card I got when I left one of my job, so I got some nice translations of Dostoievsky (in French) :D

  3. The range you were given is accurate. It never really took more than 2 weeks for me. Sometimes you get lucky and the parcel arrives in 4-5 days. It all comes down to how fast it can go through custom I suppose.

Before I send them back, as 1 don't fit my gf and the other one I'm not such a fan after all:

    DAF1-006 Downtown Air Force 1 Crimson - US 12 / EU 45

    DAF1-003 Downtown Air Force 1 Black / Olive - US 7 / EU 40

330USD including shipping from Germany to the US/Canada, 300USD shipped to Europe.

Will send things back at the end of the week if no one is interested.

Last call before those go back to Nike :) . 320USD worldwide 280€ in Europe. I can't go lower otherwise I lose money.

  5. Try Elevation Store (they had some Veilance some times ago), Colette, Pigalle, check the Nike Lab store near Chatelet as well. The guys there are very nice and chatty, they probably would be happy to direct you to some nice shops in the area.

Quick question for those of you experienced in shipping:

I've got a friend who is willing to send their AF1s to me from Germany. With that being said, what would be the most cost-efficient / safe way to send them via? I assume it's going to cost some cash, but I'm willing to spend the money to guarantee the safety of it. I would like the whole box.

    Thanks.

    For future reference (https://www.dhl.de/popweb/ProductOrder.do?checkOnInit=false&insert=false&itemId=0)

The first option has no insurance or tracking, for a 50€ insurance + tracking you need to add 3€ to the price.

The "paket" options includes insurance up to 500€. +14€ for 1k€ insurance, +28€ for 2k€ insurance etc...up to 5k€

In your case, it would cost 37€. I can proxy things if anyone wants btw, just pm me.

Haven't had the chance to handle it, but I'll point out that there's a "plain" black version available on the product page—it's just not in any of the product photos. In any case, that's the first bag I've seen since buying my 3a-1 that feels like something I'd want to buy... just not sure about the external branding.

Also—I expect this has been discussed in the past, but will the bagjack 3-point strap work fine with my 3a-1? The straps seem like they should fit, but I wanted to check.

I only have bagjacks bags, but the 3 point strap system definitely is the same, and acronym bags are made in collaboration with bagjack.

  9. Just a quick feedback as I tried the J58-WS and J56-GT last time.

J58-WS. Very very soft innermaterial, feels very very warm, moreso inside of a shop. I tried a M as I'm usually between and medium and small (185cm 73kg), and found the arms to be very short, as in, too short. Great insulation piece I would say, but didn't feel special enough imo.

On the other hand I really like the J56-GT. I thought it looked a bit underwhelming on the pictures, but it does have a lot more character irl, and feels like a well crafter modern take on the field jacket. Fit was perfect and flattering. Good balance or interesting details and functionality without going overboard.

  10. Doesn anyone have any feedbacks on the ISAORA Ultrasonic Mac ? I tried searching about it but couldn't really find so many feedbacks except from someone seeing it store and not being so impressed.

btw if anyone has any coupon code for the website, it'd be much appreciated.

  11. when it's nice and sunny outside but you don't want to go out for a walk/run because it says "100% chance of precipitation" from the next half hour.

people who giggle a lot more than it is required. like this guy from my class we were talking about some serious topic like war or hunger or something and he was giggling the fuck with you.

  12. The world is back to being as rich or richer than when this thread was opened, people have more money and more time to complain about it, this needs a revival.

I don't really have a good one, but I had to call a Ferrari gearbox specialist garage abroad for a friend who doesn't speak the language and he won't let me drive it in return. Asshole.
