  1. Zara has nice wool cardigans for fall in gray, dark gray, and black. Zara always has cardigans, but the ones I'm referring to I thought were particularly nice. They were a "medium" thickness for about $70.

  2. I just got back as well. I got there at 4pm and the line was at least a quarter mile long. It took 45 minutes to get in.

When I got there I saw people leaving with huge bags full of clothes. By the time I got in most of the good stuff was gone. Only sweatpants, sweaters, and size large items were left. I had to dig pretty hard to find a few shirts in size small.

I imagine if you got there early you could've hauled off large amounts of quality items. However, the people I spoke to who arrived at 1 or 2pm had to wait two hours or so to get in.

I did see the American Apparel founder a few times. And the cobra snake guy.

  3. If you truly cared about AIDS why not donate directly to medical research? I suppose the t-shirt raises social awareness, so I won't knock it for that, and in that regard its good.

The design is neither exceptional nor horrible.

This is less about design or charity than it is consumption. It's about collecting all the pokemon.

I don't "negfuckingrep" you because you like the shirt. Don't be a little bitch.

  4. why are they not worth the price? could you please tell me your idea of a great sneaker that is actually worth it?

or were you just looking for a creative way to say you're poor?

It's simply a difference of opinion jmatsu, don't take it too hard.

If you want to show you're a baller why not go for Lanvin or Raf?

  5. I saw that post, but unfortunately those sites don't help me much. I'd rather not have to order from Japan, not to mention the pain of proxy services. Those sites also didn't carry the items I'm looking for. Surely blazers from the Martini Time collection must be carried in North America...

  6. April 77 recently released more images of their FW 07 collection on their website, but does anyone know where the new collection is currently carried? Was there a problem in distribution this year, or has it yet to hit stores?

I'm looking specifically for their blazers, coats, and dress shirts. I know their jeans are easier to find.

  8. I downloaded S01E06 of The Pickup Artist on Vh1 after only having seen the first episode or two and noticed that after the indian guy gets kicked off there's a flashback to an earlier episode where he's wearing the Pleasure Principle cutout skull t-shirt. I've seen a few of you with the shirt.

I just thought I'd dork out with ya'll.

+ I guess the shirt doesn't get you babes (maybe dick?)

    so much drama

  9. I've been told Dior and APC items are made in Macau (can anyone verify this?). And Burburry and Ralph Lauren items are made in China. Heavens! What's left to wear?

I hate Adbusters' pimping of Blackspot Sneakers. The entire magazine is against advertising and capitalism, yet the magazine seems to be little more than a guerrilla marketing campaign for the company, with every third page devoted to an ad for the shoes.

  10. Has anyone else noticed the trend amongst designers and common retailers to limit themselves to black and white for Fall/Winter 07/08? Coincidentally, it seems most members of Superfuture have recently put their wardrobe on a strict diet of white and black.

I tend to limit myself to black, white, and navy as well. I feel that it’s not only striking to limit oneself to those colors, but that it’s more masculine, classic, and dead-motherfucking-serious-artfaggotry. Plus, everything in your wardrobe matches, so you can mix as you please.

However, part of me finds it suffocating, communistic, and depressing, like ugly Soviet era architecture and cold winters in Russia.

  11. I love all of the Ann Demeulemeester stuff I've seen, but I have no idea where to buy it. Anywhere online, or any major chains in Canada that might carry her clothes?
Komakino in Vancouver... and that's about it, afaik.

And I thought chub rock lived in Canada, so I have no idea where he got his Ann D cardi.

Obviously talking about shops in Canada, there's plenty of on-line places like luisaviaroma, aloharag, and others. Look in the e-shop list sticky on top of the supershopper.

Boutique U&I in Montreal carries Ann Demeulemeester as well. And thats it for Montreal as far as I know.

I'm not aware of any boutique in Toronto carrying the label. Holf Renfrew doesn't carry it. TNT Blu, Delphic, Sydney's, and Lileo don't carry it either.

Sure, Annie D. is nice. But it's expensive as fuck.

  12. I sized up in a cheap cotton H&M cardigan. That did the trick for me.

Also try Zara and Club Monaco for cheap cardigans. Club Monaco has cashmere cardigans on sale right now for $40.

Aside from getting a fancy oversized designer cardigan, just size up.
