  1. thanks, isoform. i should have been more specific in my question.

petit standard- "raw denim. 100% cotton. cut like our new standard jeans, with a lower rise, and narrower waist, hips and leg. five pockets. narrow leg, slightly fitted at bottom to give the appearance of a straight leg. designed for slender builds. button fly."

new cure- ""either low for high rise. very narrow leg"

the petit standard looks much narrower than the new cures, i'll be excited to try them on. my current jeans are stretched out like crazy.

  2. i really wish i had sized down two.

also, i put my jeans in the washing machine today - cold gentle cycle - because i'm getting sick of all that indigo rubbing off. let it hang dry last night and put them on. while there's still some loose indigo, at least my hands aren't totally blue. i also didn't notice any fading at all in general.

hey all. sorry about goodsociety being stubborn. there's a lot of loose indigo in the denim and it just runs over onto any sign of fading on the creases. a good trick is to wash them a few times with light detergent to wash out all the loose indigo and do a hang dry. you'll get better fading that way.
  3. anyone know where i can find good society women size measurements? or anyone have any experience? i'm between sizes, 25/26, and don't know whether to go for a 25 or 24...

minimum, size down one. but personally i would go for the 24. i went down one, which felt uncomfortable for two days. but now i feel i could have gone down two.

  4. bought a pair of the good society women slims. they are a great fit, but you definitely want to size down one or two. after soaking them but before they are totally dry, you can pull em on to mold them to your body.

for a while now i was wondering why my hands were slightly blue - health problems? hair dye? - but then i finally realized it was the indigo!

  5. the photos on BIG's website makes it appear the leg opening is really wide and unattractive, but they look much better in photo! how do you like the one wash? i am thinking of getting the women's slim.

  6. So the fit of the pbj women's is off? I'm just wondering because I'm looking to get my girl a a new pair of raws for her birthday. Maybe some of you you can offer advice. she needs a low rise, tapered fit. She has a pair of good society skinny cut that look great on her but she wears those out and the wesc rinse wash she got stretched too much and look awful so she nees a new pair now. I think lindas are probably too straight legged. Maybe a slim kim comfort as they don't have the ugly ass designs? Any other suggestions?

because you mention your gf has some curves, 100 percent cotton denim is not a good option because she'll have a hard time feeling comfortable while stretching them out.

you could always get another pair of the good society skinnies. the nudies slim kim still have the stitching on the pockets, but i've seen most people remove them with a seam ripper. if you do it right away, you can't tell there was stitching there in the first place.

  7. this reminds me of the scene in tampopo where they observe two master ramen chefs in their booth. no wasted movements, both chefs working in perfect coordination.

after watching tampopo i made omurice for the first time! can't tell how authentic mine was but i can cook the eggs now so that it oozes out from a cut down the middle, just like the movie.
