  1. what's a good website to look for upcoming shows/concerts (including smaller venues)? i used to go on this one site that used google maps but i forgot to bookmark

Just look on the Rotate This website. Soundscapes works too.

  2. Any WLU grads here? How are the rez?

I went to Laurier. Long enough ago though that enough has probably changed.

I was in a male-only rez and it ended up being great. In high school most dudes want co-ed because they think orgies will erupt on a nightly basis. Years later, a lot of my closest friends are still dudes I met in first year and lived on the same floor with.

Has anyone had alterations done at studio kim before? Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I haven't tried every tailor in the city so I won't say they're THE BEST!!!!! but I'm pretty particular about clothes and don't stress at all about having them do anything I need done.

  3. so is livestock toronto's only hope for semi-decent selection of NB's? where else should I be checking out?

Livestock has an okay selection….nothing to go crazy over. They got the green Solebox Finals, the SNS 1500’s, Concepts 1500’s, etc. Capsule in Yorkville also carries a fair amount of NB’s and was actually the only shop to get the recent NB x Concepts 999 Kennedy’s collab..

In all honesty, I wouldn’t set my hopes too high for NB’s locally – the market just isn’t there. I would scope out the Euro sneaker sites as they’re much bigger over there as are runners in general.

  4. Hey guys, If I am a 30 on apc ns and 32 in nudies average joe

both of these would be not AS slim as they could be

what size skulls 5010xx am I looking at for a slimmer fit!

I wear a 32 in NS and kind of the same for me - I probably could go another size down. With my body/legs, the thigh area of any slimmer jean is usually where it's tightest for me.

That said, I ordered a 33 in the 5010's and they were WAY too tight in the thighs. The waist I could get done up, but just barely.

I returned them and got a 33 in the 5507's and they're perfect.

If the 5010 is for you, I would get your proper size by measuring your true waist. Measure and then order your size accordingly. I believe they measure an inch bigger in the waist than the tagged size. ie. a tagged 33 actually measures 34 inches.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Another sizing question about 710s.

I wear APC NS in 32" and they've stretched to 36" waist which feels pretty huge and I have to use a belt with them. I measured my waist about 2" under the navel (where I normally wear my jeans) and got 35". I'm aiming for a relatively slim fit and wondered if I could fit in 34"? Additionally, at navel I measured 31", but I'm never going to wear them that high.

I wear a 32 in APC NS as well. Waist has also stretched out to just over 36" for me, but everywhere else fits perfectly the way I like it. I could easily size down in the waist, but I have somewhat bigger thighs due to playing a lot of sports and I love the fit of the 32's through the thighs and legs - slim but not skinny.

I got a 34 in my 710's (lot 11) and after two hot soaks (air dry) and about two months of wear, the waist has stretched out to just under 35". I could probably go down one size in the waist and still button them but they would be TIGHT. Everywhere else is quite roomy and I feel like I could easily go down at least one size elsewhere.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Thanks guys.

Knee-down I'm totally fine with. It's the waist and thigh area that is the biggest concern for me.

If the waist and thighs will stretch not a ton, but substantially then I'll probably keep these. If the stretching in these areas was going to be quite minimal then I'd probably size up one.

  7. Just got my 5010xx's in the mail from Self Edge, and these things are TIGHT...like one degree from painted on. I can JUST get the waist buttoned up.

How much can I honestly expect these to stretch out if I wear them a bit?

I tried to go true to size. My waist is somewhere around a 34 - no bigger. I bought a size 33 seeing as how the size chart said a 33 measured 34 inches in the waist.

Should I keep these or send them back for a size 34?

  8. Thanks guys - really appreciate the quick, helpful responses. Looks like 34 might be the size - especially since the 5010's are a little slimmer than the 5507's. My NS's are already about 12.75 inches in the thigh, and the 34's in 5010's are a little less at about 12.5.....the 33's would be that much slimmer...probably a no-go.

  9. Thanks for the opinions guys. It's probably my thighs I'm worries about most - not my waist. For example my new standards in a 32 I could go smaller in the waist still (it's stretched to 36), but no slimmer in the thigh area. Thinking a 34 might be best in these for this reason.

I know these stretch out a bit,. but more specifically, do they stretch much in the thigh area?

  10. When people say go true to size on these, do they mean true to the actual waist size or true to the tagged size?

On both BiG and SE, the waist seems to measure once inch bigger than tagged.

    I wear a 32 in APC NS's and a 34 in Samurain 710's....wondering if I should go 33 or 34 in these.

  11. So got my 710's and they look amazing.

One issue though - I know it's recommended to give them a good soak to shrink them down before you start wearing them. Brand new and un-soaked they're fairly loose most places, but the waist is pretty snug already....not sure I could still wear them if the waist shrunk an inch.

What's the best way to go about soaking them? Wearing them during the soak so the waist doesn't shrink down too much?
