  1. I bet it was cheaper in Hong Kong cos there's no import duty NOR sales tax......

All European brands are the cheapest in Hong Kong I believe.......almost everything except for alcohol and automobiles......

So, do buy in Hong Kong......

  2. hey hitokiri8, i didn't know that they were coming out with red selvedge raws in both indigo and black.....thought it was only gonna be indigo. how much did they cost you in HKD? do you know if they come in 21cm's and could you please post some pics? dying to see what they are like compared to the regular MIJ black raws. i would bet that, being red selvedge, they'd be a lot like the APC NS denim tho.....thx in advance!

p.s. and i totally agree with you.....not enough info. on this thread about any of the Dior selvedges (silver n red, both colors).......or anywhere in cyberspace for that matter.......

  3. The indigos were always a bit softer than the blacks. The black raws are incredibly stiff.

The 21cm black raws I got weren't that stiff.....but I bought them online, brand new though. Have had them for a year / about 6 months of wear, and fading is little if not none. And I should have sized down 2 more.....now you got me wondering how a pair of stiff black raws in the perfect size would have turned out.......

  4. Hi everybody,

I am planning on getting my Dauphins hemmed since they are really to long for me. They are even 4 cm longer than my other Dior jeans…!

    My question now:

Since they are like raw denim (not distressed/washed), is it really necessary to ask the tailor for a euro hem (you know, the „sandwich methodâ€) or would it also be ok if he just cuts of the excessive fabric and creates a new hem?

Would be great to hear some opinions / experiences from you? Those who hemmed their raws, which method did you choose?

    Thanks in advance!

How long have you been wearing them already? Do they show any signs of wear at the hems and do you want to keep them? I think you get my drift......

  5. Hey TheGrapist, do you know what the differences are between the silver selvedge raws and the regular MIJ raws? I went through many pages and was surprised that there is not much info. on the silver selvedge raws other than lighter & tighter weave, more $$$ and lighter blue but darker gery. If the material is lighter why is it still more expensive?

Also, could you please tell us what models are still available in the 21cm's? I've been itching to drop dough on black & blue silver selvedge raws and luster waxed blacks.

    Thanks a lot!
