  1. I'm interested in a rigid LVC 1967 Type III Jacket, but I'm not sure what size to get. I normally wear 40R/Medium in jackets. For the Type III I've seen both 'go with true size' and 'go one size up'. Anyone here have a recommendation?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Wearing a 34" in Lee Gold and have 34" in the Uniqlo's.

Went 34" x 32" in the '47's and will shrink in bath (wearing them) to hold the waist but bring up the inside leg.

PS out of interest - are all '47 LVC's Cone?

The 47s are undersized. You probably should have gotten a 36. The 34 actually starts out at 33" before shrinkage and will shink down to 32" or 31". The 36 on the other hand will start out at 35" and shrink down to 34" or 33".

    All American-made 47s use Cone.

  3. Here's my sizing experience with 47s:

When raw they're an inch smaller in the waist than tagged size. They shrink 2 inches after a few washes, but they stretch back out an inch after a few days of wear.

For example, my 36 waist measured 35 raw. It goes down to about 33 after a wash and stretches back out to 34 after a week of wear.

  4. I have a sizing question if you guys don't mind. My pair of 36 waist '47 LVC fit perfectly after shrinking (keep in mind they're a bit undersized to begin with). I'd like to get a pair of '55 LVC, but I'm not sure which waist size to get. I'm afraid 36 will be too big and 34 will be too small. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!
