same/similar cuts...different denims. 5 is slubby, 7 has blue warp/weft, 8 is a lighter, vintage-like.

Once upon a time, I really liked Diesel's clothing...when they were still made with quality and care, but I also had the same brand loyalty with a lot of companies who's mass market approach has lowered the overall quality of their product. Even if other companies like Rock & Republic and Seven came out with handmade, premium denim lines, I still wouldn't bother because the approach to their other lines has lowered their brand image in my eyes.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree, I really liked diesel a few years ago in the 03 and 04 period. Personly, I hate them now but I still don't go around dissing them just because they are Diesel. I feel like now Diesel has gone a bit down hill but thats just my opinion.

Nothing in those pictures leads me to believe these are quality jeans. I see no inspired design, nothing in the denim looks great (although pics don't always convey this), there is a hideous button (rivet?) on the crotch, zipper fly with plastic? button closure, possibly plastic rivets, ugly leather patch and boring black stitching.

Nevertheless I would be mildly interested to hear your opinions of them in person.

No inspired design? The entire cut itself is a design. Diesel Thanaz is a fashion jean unlike everything worn here. Boring black stiching? Show me some sticthing that doesnt look boring. And diesel uses lampro zippers which are some of the best zippers on the market.

Diesel shouldnt be compared here since its a completly different denim world. Those here saying Diesel is crap shouldnt be saying that since they don't wear or have any experience with it.

Diesel is for fashion, not for "Denim Evolution"

I agree. I don't think that any do. For PBJ you would need to use a buying service, or better yet buy the from BiG. Mark-up is less than other brands, nad probably the same or cheaper than a servic . Plus you support the local guys!

Final thought... you could email Mario at mil-mil.net and see what he'd charge for a pair. He occassionally will do a buying service, but for less than the usual players.

Cheep- I was posting those here to show them before they arent mine anymore. Gimme I am selling them so i can get some loot for new jeans and because they have just been sitting in my closet so I could work on the following. Here are my current jeans which are new standards and not for sale. These got less washing and probably more active wear than the cures had gotten by this time.These also got an extremely cold lake wash.

i like the fit of these alot, so much so that im thinking i will get the xx-008 also. id say the fit is similar to nudie slim jim, but with less boxy of a top block.

What raw denim brand and cut would be most similar to the Diesel Zathan cut? It also has to have a button fly instead of a zip fly.

I was thinking Nudie bootcut olas but I was wondering if there were any other brands and cuts that were similar.
