  1. I found a shirt at my local menswear store that is the one on the right in the middle here. It has the tan tag and the mark that looks like the recycling symbol but with yarn.

The fit is perfect if a bit long. Does anyone know when this shirt may have been produced?

  2. Good, now you have an excuse to stop wearing them.

I don't think the boots are bad.

I mean it's cool to hate in timberland boots because most of them are awful looking and poor quality, but it just looks like a standard pair of sand suede Chelsea boots.

I mean, if you take off the tree logo and the black nylon loop I'd wear them.

  3. About the 634SR sizing, I got a pair from rakuten, took a 32, true to size, as didn't want it to be too big.

Truth is the waist is indeed short, but after three hot soaks forcing the waist (quite a bit :) ), I managed to bring them to the right size.

And overall they are now with the same measurements (thigh, leg opening, rise etc) as the 634S I also own, even a bit bigger maybe.

So would say they are not really undersized, but that there is somehow a problem with the waist size.

Hope will get nice results, not wearing them before autumn or winter however, these things are indeed heavy !

So at no point in this endeavor did you consider just sizing up and waiting a couple weeks?

  4. MJK is coming out with some sweet looking ones. His shirts tend to be shorter as they're meant to be worn untucked.

BoO occasionally makes chambrays, though I'm not sure you'll find an 18.5/44 shirt from them.

Why not just buy a regular shirt and take it to the tailors? It shouldn't be that much and would probably be worth it if you really can't find shirts...

Thanks a ton! I've been very interested in Krell's stuff but never found occasion to get something of his.

I avoid tailoring because in my area none of the alteration workers (I refuse to use the word tailor in describing the women at the dry cleaners or the guy who constantly butchers my dad's suits) know what they're doing.

  5. Is there a good brand of chambray for people who are stockier rather than lankier.

I'm 5'8" with 18.5 shoulders and a ~44 chest, but every shirt I've seen that satisfies those qualifications is past my butt and to my thighs.

I can deal with tucking a shirt if the rest of the fit is pitch perfect, but there must be a label with chambrays for the shorter man.
