  1. t0eknee, that fit is so bad.. even with a hem they are just not for you. i'd say scratch it, and start all over. where did you buy those? if you bought them locally, go into the shop and have them help you get fitted for something proper. that's what they are there for, and if they gave you advice to get the ones you are wearing then you need to find a new shop...

The store assistant that sold him those should be shot

  2. Oke, so like two/three years ago I purchased my first pair of APC. New Cures size 31. Nicely sized down and fit snugly in the waist, however the thighs and calves were a bit tight. In fear of it not stretching enough I exchanged them for a poorly sized pair of NS.

Today however I'm contemplating a new pair of APC's. Do you guys think those New Cures would have stretched to my liking? I know they stretch a lot in the waist but what about elsewhere? And if they don't, would a same size in a Petit Standard be better for my legs?

    Thanks

  3. Oke, so apparently the 19cm's are modeled after the APC Cure and not the New Cure. I happen to own a pair of Cure's (3 years old) and I'm contemplating/lusting after a pair of 19cm's. However I fail to see what the real difference would be between the two, even more so after reading that the Dior denim is almost equal to that of APC.

Perhaps the stretching is a difference, seeing as Dior's stretch less than APC's, what jeans don't. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the idea of purchasing a pair of 19cm while a nearly identical pair of Cure's can be had for half the price. This leads me to question: why not just by a new pair of Cure's (which are available again on the apc site). Any input would be appreciated.

  4. Hey guys, one quick question here. I'm the owner of a pair of Cure size 31 (NOT New Cure, just Cure... bought about 2.5 years back) and a NS Size 28.

I know, weird that they differ 3 sizes but the Cure are too big and the NS too small. The top button even came of and the fly is completely warped due to stretching. Originally I was gonna go for a new pair of Cure but they weren't available.

Now they are however and I was wondering what size to go for? 30 or 29? To be honest I'm not looking forward to walking around a month or so with my top button undone but I also don't want them to stretch too big, which my 31's are right now. Not perse in the waist, oke also, but the kneebulging and thighs are what bothers me. Not really evident in the pic below, because they were just washed but after a few wears they stretch back to how they really are and are a bit too big.

  5. Nice fade's up here!

Here are my F310's. They were rotting away in my closet because I felt they didn't taper enough from the knee below as opposed to my other jeans so I grabbed the sewing machine and went and tapered them myself! Very pleased with the result.

  6. spam, what are those? they fit nicely

Those be New Standards size 28. It's amazing that on some people they fit extremely baggy and mine tried to castrate me the first month and have now stretched nicely.

  7. Yeah, I went from having a girls ass to no ass at all. Modual: They are still a bit tight in the waist and thigh but these haven't stretched enough yet and are still very stiff. And I do have a 33 in the 310's but those are to big and I could have had a 31 or maybe even 30.

Few pages back I posted these pics of my tight ass 28 NS. Got some mixed reactions, some said keep em and others told me to get a size 29. But I kept them and they stretched nicely. Below are pics of the 28's about 2 weeks in.

I'm sure they will stretch some more, I could do with a little more room at the waist. But it's probably going to turn out to be a great fit and I'm glad I sticked with the 28's.

  9. Hmm, so yeah, mixed reactions. Obviously, the tighter they are the more they wil stretch. But if that is gonna take 6 weeks or so I might just return them. On the other hand APC's do stretch allot, I've had a pair of Cure's before but cant really account for the stretching because those were not really tight to begin with.

Perhaps Tayler up there has had a similar experience because logic says they stretch on areas that are under stress. So dy616 you think i'm safe with these and if i just ride them out they'll stretch fine. I know the waist stretches a ton but how about the thighs and the ass on your pair? Thanks man

    Peace

Few pages back I posted a story about how I got my size 30 NS which were too big. I returned them for a size 28 but I'm on the fence on if they will stretch enough. Above pics are my size 30 which were too big. Below my size 28.

They are skin tight in the thighs and ass. Yes, my ass looks like a girl's. But I can button every button except the top one after wearing them for like 10 minutes. But they're just so uncomfortable in the thigh and ass. I really like the fit from the knee down but if these bastards aren't going to stretch to when they are comfortable I might return them for a 29. I know APC stretches like crazy in the waist, but its the thighs and ass that worry me. Thanks for the help guys.

  11. Well, just got my APC new standards in the mail and tried em on. Disappointingly they're too big. Even though I sized down 2/3 to a 30. Dont know if I should now get a 29 or a 28.

Seeing as i have quite allot of room in the waist, I mean I can fit my fist in between, (no homo). I think I could manage a 28 but wouldn't those be too tight in the thighs and such? Also i would'nt mind them being a bit slimmer from the knee down? Would a smaller size achieve that or is the NS not what I am looking for and should I be going for maybe the petit standard or new cure? I'm looking for a fit similar to my cure pair pictured below. These are the normal cures and not the New Cures.

  12. Nah, they're really nice leather Red Wings boat shoes. Yeah I think I'm going to size down 3 for my NS. Seeing they stretch a ton. I'm thinking a NC would be to slim for my liking.

Size charts are confusing though, Context says a size 30 NC has a larger thigh than a size 30 NS. Isn't this supposed to be the other way around seeing as the NC is a skinnier fit than the NS? Can anyone confirm this because the thighs are a bit of an issue for me. Thanks!
