  1. First WAYWT. It's been about three months since I've ditched the "two sizes too big" t-shirts, the baggy Hurley jeans, and the ripped up Abercrombie hats. I'm still working on my wardrobe. I've basically only had money to buy a few pairs of nice raw denim, H&M basics, and a few staple pieces, so please don't be too harsh :P

Just a few graduation parties today

    Before:

H&M t-shirt (that looks like it's about to disintegrate)

    Fossil Watch

    Skull 5507XX

    Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66

    Onto a party later tonight:

    W+H Hoodie

    Fossil Watch

    Skull 5507XX

    Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66

i'm really down with those shoes in white. i have the brown leather ones. great sneakers.

    and the hoodie's really cool.

  2. when you first wear your new standards, are you supposed to be able to button them all the way to the top button, or should they be extremely tight?

    yeah, tight.

i got a pair a little bit ago, and could barely even button them, now they're perfect but im kinda worried they're going to get too big, so tight as you can stand--they will stretch

  3. Keep buying, it's a good thing. :) At least I think it is... somehow I feel good about having the actual CD with the booklet and all, even when I buy it—or, rather, used to buy it off iTS—it's not the same. I don't download at all these days... and I probably spend at least as much on CDs/DVDs as on clothing. Sad.

yeah i definitely agree; there's something special about owning the actual physical album. really does add up though, i do about half downloading half buying real cds

  4. hand shirt is marc jacobs? wow

o if you were referring to my post, im not sure if the hand shirt is by MJ, i was just talkin abou the tote and the ridiculous amount of times it says marc jacobs.

but the hand shirt, i dunno. i want to though

  5. five more for the hell of it

husker du - new day rising

tortoise and bonnie prince billy - the brave and the bold

the vaselines - the way of the vaselines

    talking heads - 77

yo la tengo - and then nothing turned itself inside out

    the last two are incredible.

  6. if one has read what has been written so far in this thread, imo the terms "style" and "fashion" has been defined pretty well. they will never be the exact meaning to everyone so nit-picking on the details is probably not the best use of time. still when i was reading this thread I thought of two blogs.

Face-hunter: 90% of the pictures represent fashion (although it may be strange european fashion :P)

    http://facehunter.blogspot.com/

and the Sartorialist: 90% of the pictures are taken for the high quality style of the subjects.

    http://facehunter.blogspot.com/

obviously the bloggers could not exclude style or fashion from their pics as they are often interwined, but they have different views on clothing and the motivation of the wearers so if you are young and want to improve your sense of "whatever" then seeing the differences between the subjects on the two sites is a good start.

those are both good blogs. i am not as familiar with the sartorialist, it llooks good.
