  1. you know when you have the superbowl and they have all the championship shirts printed beforehand? I heard the losing team has their shirts sent to africa and the like. that means that somewhere.. the Bills were an amazing team in the early 90's :o

  2. newbury street has Stel's, cool place for APC and other stuff. it also has Riccardi's if you want Nudies, Evisus or something.

there's Proletariat in harvard square and I think the guy who owns the place comes here.

  3. i had to buy a cheepo buttonup and i ended up having to go to macy's.. i sized down for american rag and I don't think the fit is awful... although the shirt itself is pretty ugly. they had plain white ones too, which i would've got but they were all L, XL etc.

but my question is: how is the fit?

  4. I'm going to a birthday in Finland over the weekend and I need to get a nice semi-casual buttonup. I live in the middle of nowhere store-wise and I want to get down to Boston to see if H&M has something good. However, I can't drive to Boston so I got someone who's going to be in Boston at the time to pick up some stuff for me.

As far as the shirt: After washing and drying an American Apparel Medium shirt, it fits perfectly. Would a medium H&M buttonup, after washed and dried have a somewhat similar fit?

Is there someone online where I can check out what kind of patterns and colors they have on shirts? Besides their foreign online shops, I mean.

also I've already tried the search function, so thanks! :)

  5. The best way to discover new music is to make a friend who devotes a huge portion of his (sometimes, but less frequently her) time to new music, and then getting them to make you mix CD's with liner notes. It's a lot of work but they'll do it anyway because it inflates their head a bit.

I can vouch for this, I do seem to really enjoy making mix CDs, and liner notes even moreso.

  6. Google Maps has added a new feature called Street View.

Basically put, you can view pictures of the street you want on the map taken from that point on the street. Sounds pedestrian but it's very cool!

So far I believe they only have New York City, Las Vegas, Miami, Denver and San Francisco. You can navigate the streets with your cursor keys or click on the directional arrows on the screen.

If you're outside the U.S, try adding '&gl=us' to the end of the URL to make it work.

Best (ugly) link I can provide is: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&amp...m=1&layer=c

I thought it was just mediocre but then I figured out you can drag your screen around 360 degrees.. damn..

  7. I'm 6'0", 179 lbs. (pudge) I'm new to raw denim, but I have right now some Diesel Larkees (I didn't pay for them, thankfully) and some pre-washed Levi 501's (I really like them, but I would love for them to fit a bit looser in the thighs, though I've worn them very little so maybe they're still going to stretch) I'm about an hour's drive away from Newbury Street (Boston) so I could go to like Stel's and pick up some APCs pretty easily, assuming they have my size. I wear a 34 in both the 501's and Diesels (though as aforementioned, the Diesels are a mediocre fit) They also have Nudies and Evisus at Riccardi's I think.

I need something with a little more relaxed seat, which is why I think the 501's were so good. The Diesels make me look like I shart my pants. I like my pants to be low/mid-rise.

Any tips on sizing/selection, and if APC doesn't sound right for me, is there another brand that might work? Keep in mind I live in a black hole of shopping, it's getting better in Boston but it's still not much. I guess I can order online though.
