  1. Word. It looks good. It's funny but the video quality still looks very sharp for a thrift store camera. I expected something a little grainier. As far as the vid goes i would have gone shorter, but thats just me.

Oooh, that camera for the video is a hacked GH2. I'll post a few stills from my Flickr with the Yashica. And I did that a few months ago, and looking back on it there's a lot I could have chopped out...seems to always be that way..

Apparently I have some rolls from the Yashica I need to scan, but here's a couple. Most of these were when I first got it, just messing around a few of my friends' shows.

  2. Something i made out of a broken Yashica camera. I always wanted to take a 35 mm apart and see what the inside looked liked. tumblr_mzpyp5lnKt1qgn4fuo3_500.jpg

I have a Yashica P&S from a thrift store I still shoot with from time to time. I don't do a ton of stills work, I prefer to go with motion picture. This is my most recent video that I did for my friend's store. I've done several lookbook-type videos for his shop, a few music videos and some other random projects that I have wanted to shoot/document; but the long-term goal is feature lengths.

  3. nah, i just watched it on youtube one day. am i wrong?

Well, either you didn't really watch it, you don't know who it was about, or a victim of auto-correct..it's 'Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story,' not 'Carter'..So, half credit?

  4. Figured this is the best thread, but has anyone used a Nokton f/1.1 or the C Zeiss Lenses? Price between the two is negligible and I shoot a lot in low-light situations, and don't mind the manual focusing. I'd probably be putting either lens on a micro4/3 body most of the time.

If you're going to be putting it on m4/3 most of the time anyways, what about the new Nocticron 42.5/1.2? Or, check out a SpeedBooster..

  5. i started a small screenprinting company with my friend (see sig for link). it's not too difficult. you can get kits for one or two colour presses for not too much. check craigslist/ebay. there's all different types of stuff you can do. depends if you wanna print mass runs of shirts or just a few shirts now and then. we have a 6 colour/2 station press. a flash dryer. uv expouser unit. and a bunch of other stuff

  6. guitar:

ibanez jetking1 (the first version of it)

epiphone valve jr 5 watt tube head (play it through the pathfinder 2x10 cab)

    pedals:

i'm currently in a band in pittsburgh (the saturn five, you can check out our myspace at www.myspace.com/thesaturnfive). we're finishing up mixing and ish for the new ep/part one of a three album thing.
