  1. While on the topic of Uniqlo...

I'm currently wearing S-002 sz 31 selvedge, but I gained some weight so I'm looking for a sz 32. However, checking www.uniqlo.co.uk they don't seem to sell S-002 selvedge anymore, or at least they don't describe them as such. They do however have "Japan Denim Jeans" and "Japanese Selvedge Denim Regular Jeans". Anyone know if these have the S-002 fit? Thanks guys!

  2. haha, .8 x 2 = 1.6" taper. if im not mistaken.

Hmm I was wrong... Measured around the leg BiG mentions a taper of .75".... And I measured a taper of 0.8" around the leg... So I guess it's like it's supposed to be.

  3. i recently bought some lot 10 0500's and they are surprisingly larger below the knee than i was expecting. even after a long hot soak. doesn't seem to be much of a taper at all...kinda bummed me out at first but i'm getting used to it at this point. was curious if this was unique to the lot 10's and just goes along with the other lot 10 issues as of late...

I felt the same with my lot 10 pair. I just measured, the taper is only .8". Checked the BiG site, my size 31 is supposed to have 1.5" taper. What's going on here?

  4. I wanna get S0500. Couple of questions:

    - Does S0500 Texas cotton stretch as much as S5000 Zero cotton, or more/less?

    - I wear APC NS size 29 (fairly tight fitting), Uniqlo S-002 size 31 (normal fitting, need belt now). Based on this I think I should go with a S0500 size 30... correct?

    - There were sizing anomalies with some lot #'s with some cuts.. Do I have to worry about this? S0500 tag size 30 means it will shrink to a size 30, correct? I will probably order from 2nd... http://item.rakuten.co.jp/2nd/sj-s0500xx/

    Thanks guys! :)

  5. No, belt. they are actually just a little tight in the waist. So I would be a fool to get a 33 in these, then? What about a 33 in the 710s? thanks

Actually, my S5000BK's waist stretched only 2" from tagged size (I just remeasured) - my size 28 are now 16". So based on that maybe a size 32 in S5000BK's would be best for you.... The general consensus, however, is to size down 1, which would mean a size 33 for you.. It just depends on how slim you want them to fit. Hmm we need a 3rd opinion :)

I wear same size in S5000BK as APC NS, so I initially thought size 30 or 31 would be best for you...

I don't own S710, but they are a lot tighter in the thighs, so be careful there.

  6. So i have a pair of apc rescues size 30 that measure (BIG style):

    waist- 17

    FR- 11

    Back rise- 14.5

    thigh - 11.5

    leg opening/knee- 8

i want to order the S5000BK and want to know what size i should order to accommodate the streching. thanks.

Are you wearing a belt with this pair?

I think a S5000BK sz 31 should be ok... Seeing as they stretch about 3" max in the waist. Maybe a sz 30 if you want a slimmer fit... But be careful, the rise is quite low.

  7. Mine shrank to a little less than 36", with 3 wash+dryer...

Just wondering, does the bk's hem shrink much after many hot washes?

I think i read somewhere that they didn't shrink much or at all.

Just double checking I get my jeans hemmed again.

  8. Oy...relax. You don't need to post twice in 5 minutes!

Try joenet.co.jp if you're looking for the Japanese/Euro collection...

Thanks for your reply. Sorry about the double post. I checked joenet.co.jp, but the 55501 seems to be 81 cm (=31.9") after shrinkage.. ridiculously short :( All deadstock models on joenet seem to have that inseam after shrinkage.. See here:
