  1. I'm moving and have to sell some items that never get worn. Shipping is from Seattle, WA to the continental US. I've sold successfully here before and have references if needed. PM me with any questions, etc!

    1. Common Projects Black Slip-ons - 45

Only tried on. Fit long for a 45, slightly too large for my 45.5 feet.

    Paid $200. Asking $125 shipped.

    2. YMC Zip Sneakers - Canvas Grey and Blue - 45

These are a cool pair of sneakers from a last year. The sole is rubber and a zipper goes all the way around attaching it to the exchangeable top. This is the model that has the grey top in canvas and the blue top in a thin leather material. I'm not a 45, so these are a little too small on me.

Worn out a few times, but in great condition.

Paid $180 or so. Asking $55 shipped.

    3. Samurai T-Shirt - M (Fits like Small)

Only tried on. This is a great T-shirt from Samurai with nice thick cotton, but I bought it without realizing it would be too small for me as a medium.

    Asking $35 Shipped.

  2. great pictures! oh! i did some backtracking/snooping and it seems Caddrel picked them up around may or june 2007. so about a year?

Something like that, I haven't been keeping track too well but it's 9 or 10 months worth of total wear.

  3. I ended up with both a d40 and an xti and am looking to get a 50.

Which one is better for those of you who have used both, the 1.8 50 for the nikon or the 1.8 50 for the canon

I have not used both, but reportedly the Nikon 50 might be a little sharper? It seems like a moot point for you as the Nikon will not autofocus on your D40. Tiny sharpness differences aren't going to matter when you miss the focus at f/1.8, which will happen particularly often with an entry level camera's tiny viewfinder.

Why do you have two entry level cameras instead of one upper tier camera?

  4. Just got paid and I have enough to throw down on some good glass, just not L.

Thinking EF 50mm f/1.4, but there's also others......

    Shit. Recommendations?

What do you have and what kind of stuff do you want to shoot?

There's tons of good EOS glass available for less than $500 new, and if you are willing to buy used the options get even better. But before you buy anything, you should think about what you will be doing with the lens. The 50 f/1.4 USM is great if you shoot low light a lot, but if you routinely use it past f/3.5 or so then you could just stick with the 50mm f/1.8 and spend the extra money on another lens or flash.

Here are some great lenses under $500 new.

Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro (USM is more expensive but has no extending front element when focusing, a very cool feature.)

    Canon 85mm f/1.8

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 (if you get a good copy)

If you want a zoom and can spend ~$600 then the Canon 70-200 f/4 L and Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 are excellent zooms.

I buy all my glass used, and if you're on a budget I'd recommend that.

  5. canon 30d with battery grip for 720 worth it?

    thanks

That's a fairly normal price at the moment, and I would say it's worth it because the 30D is a great camera. When I bought mine it was going for 600-650 and now it's down to 550-600, while those battery grips go for around 120.

If the 30D is what you want, go for it.

  6. nearly shit my pants...thought i got the shit one out of the stock.

just tested my friend's 30D and his doenst do it either...

tech support failed to give me any reasonable answer...just said Nikons need to be powered on to get a clear view?

It seems like a rather obvious and silly answer, but don't Nikon lenses on the "normal" (not D40, D60) bodies close their aperture all the way down when the camera is off? I know that when I was looking at Nikons in Yodobashi camera I could see that the aperture ring was closed. I'm guessing you tested this already but is the effect the same as when you hit the depth of field preview at f/22?

Canon lenses stay wide open when the camera is off, so you wouldn't see the aperture getting stopped down on say a 30D.

  7. Would rep if I could. So this weekend was the first time you washed 'em ever?

I'm also wondering about most of you Skull 5010 owners...I think the consensus was to size up 1...I did that as well. Did any of you stay true to size, or even size down?

Mine are basically one size down, though the way I picked the size was to measure my waist and compare to fabfour's chart.

  8. so this is your first wash right now? they look really good.

did you get these raw or one wash?

Thanks, they are one wash sized down to 30 from a little less than 31 true waist. I'm leaving the country in a couple days so I won't have time to take post-wash pictures. If they look very different in a few weeks I will take more pics.
