I'm having trouble finding anything about these Kid's Big E Levi's.

They are about a 24 month size.

I've learned alot, from these boards, about how to spot vintage Levi's. BarTacs, selvedge, rivets, etc....

But, I'm just really curious what these numbers mean.

I sent a email to Lynn Downey at Levi's, with this question. Whatever I hear from her, I'll come back to this thread and post what she told me.

But, I"m still stuck on the tag numbers. They have to mean something.

I'm stuck trying to figure out the numbers on the white Levi's tags. I have a pair of mid 70's mens 517's.

The white tag says:

386 B 23

517-0217

7 79 16

51957-4

I think that the 0217 is the "wash" number. I'm not sure, though. But, if it is, what is the "wash"?

I read on another site that there are sites for cracking these tag numbers. Does anyone care to share those websites? Or, do they really exist?

I have a pair of Levi's that has a blue waist patch and a blue back pocket tab. I can't find out anything about these.
