  1. Yeah Pathway, just on the edge of Chinatown on Dixon Street.

Don't think they stock Julius but they certainly stock all the high end hypebeast stuff. Neighborhood, BAPE, CDG, Roen, Mastermind Japan etc... Decent place, without the STUPID markups. I think the price difference between them and a proxy would be minimal.

  2. Hm.

    1) Yes I'm right.

    2) Bitches be crazy. It matters to her.

It's not the amount that shits her, it's the fact that I lied.

And I know, that's an isolated incident.

This one's done and gone, I'm more or less washing my hands off it.

But for future reference, to tell the truth or just downplay and pray she never finds out? I mean, even if I say "I don't know", realistically, the girl's going to be like "How can you not know? That many? What about a ball park figure".

There's no real getting away from that question, especially in a serious relationship.

Plus girls aren't as dumb as we think they are. Suspicions get aroused and all that.

  3. No, I ask this question because I just lost arguably the most important thing that's ever happened to me because I lied to her.

I'd honestly trade in every single one of them for her.

It's like that quote from Alfie.

Some money in my pocket, some nice threads, a fancy car at my disposable and I'm utterly single. But I don't have peace of mind. So what's the point? And if you don't really have that, what do you have?

  4. djrajio.

Lying to girls concept. Start of every new relationship comes the inevitable question, "How many?". I'm turning 22, I'm on 25. Naturally, most girls get turned off. Now, I can either lie about it and pray I don't get caught.

Or I can tell the truth and run the risk.

    What to do?

  5. So anyway....

I haven't been on Sufu for awhile. How's everyone doing?

Got a new job at Bvlgari. Interesting stuff, although I'm not sure anyone here would be interested in their stuff...

PM if you need anything else. Please. No public requests.

Need business shirts for cheap. Anyone have any ideas?

  6. As you guys know, I gave you a heads up about this new shop opening in Sydney to cater to our materialistic urges.

Had their opening party just last weekend [Friday evening]. Some photos are up.

Have a look. See if you can spot anyone familiar.

And just a little... peek. But also, remember how I was talking up the Ol'Good? Guess it gets some LOVE

Take it from me. She's attractive.

  7. i had a quick look at the site, looks a bit better than your average start up tee company. all the best to him. what kind of tee is he printing on?

Tees fit a bit larger than usual. So if you're a regular M, I'd go with an S.

Its a tough market to crack but best of luck to your mate's store. I only noticed it the other day on the way home - it seems like they only stock a bunch of streetwear tees and hats.

It's not easy for someone who's self funded. Gotta start somewhere I guess. What I like about it is that it's all personal. No big corporations or companies involved. Just doing it for the love of the culture.

Style of mind are you getting paid by this label? what you wrote reads like an ad

    Nope. Would be nice though.

  8. Hey guys,

Long time no post. I spent yesterday walking around Surry Hills, Paddington, etc. just looking around and... it's pretty interesting.

Zambesi's still around, selling Number (N)ine tees for 100AUD. Those in the know, know that this is a ridiculous steal. Sizes 1-3 mainly, and small fits, so it'd be good for most of you. I'm pretty sure that with the general aesthetic of this forum, you guys would love it.

    But just another heads up.

A friend of mine recently started his own label. I suppose this would interest the streetwear heads on this forum more than most, but it's worth it to check it out anyway. I quite like the direction in which he's taking it and having seen the next season's stuff, I think we can expect great things.

For those who are interested. There's an online store, but the best

method of purchase would probably to go into the single Sydney stockist.

HalfSleeve. It's a pretty cool store. Check the website for address and details. It's just up the road from World Square. Look out for the distinctive logo to identify the shop. Really cool place, and the owner's an awesome bloke. Totally down to earth. Stocks items from the New York Hat Company. Amazing stuff.

Do take the time to read around and have a look. And if any of you are interested, I could explain a little about his product philosophy. It's pretty fascinating. T-shirts aren't just made because they... "look good", like so many of the tees that we see nowadays.

Take the "7 Sins" tee for example. First thing you'll notice about is, is that it's mirror-imaged. Why?

Because, it's only when we look at ourselves, our true selves, do we see the sins of which we are guilty of.

    Have a peek.

  9. seriously what is there to think about?

Just wondering if you guys had any thoughts on it. Your perception of David Jones, and of shopping at department stores on the whole. Considering that boutiques are almost exclusively listed when people ask where to buy things.

So your mum been buying you clothes all this time?

    Wow. Talk about snappy.

And no. I've bought my own clothes since I was 12.

I'm taking it as he didn't like or may have liked some of the things he saw.. some department stores sell quite reputable brands (for some) like paul smith etc.. Normally they sell what ever will appeal? what was it that bothered you?

or do you want to know if anyone shops in them? well i don"t

Yes. That's exactly what I wanted to know. If anyone shopped in them, if so what for, if not, why not? Etc. Just the first thing that pops into your mind really.

  10. I've never been to the Ivy before, looks like my first time will be 2 weekends from now. A friend booked out the venue for her birthday. Or that's what everyone's saying anyway... Will let you guys know how it is!

On the fashion side of things, I've never bought anything from a department store before [save Barney's when I was in NYC] but the other day I took the time to walk through David Jones. I'm not sure how to react.

Anyone have any thoughts on it? I'm just curious as to what SuFu thinks of it.

  11. Found an interesting place the other day.

Was late at night and was walking around the city when LO AND BEHOLD!

I saw an open door, with light emanating from the corridor beyond.

Peeking my head in further, I noted that it was a flight of stairs, extending downwards underground.

Normally, I would've just ignored it and continued on my sojourn towards further inebriation when a siren's song emanated from the door. My curiosity already aroused, I threw all caution to the wind when simultaneously, I identified the language of said song as Japanese, and a gorgeous young lady aged mid-20's walked up the flight of stairs, eyeing me with an air of flirtatiousness.

With half a bottle of scotch in me, coupled with my admittedly slight Jap-ophilia, I threw all caution to the wind and walked through the door with my trusty sidekick and long time friend and enquired about this locale. Whilst waiting for an English speaking manager [yes, it's one of those fobby places], I noted that there was a front bar that was entirely populated by MORE gorgeous young things sipping on various inebriating brews.

At this point of time, I'm noticeably a lot more perked up than the mellow self I was mere moments before.

Anyway, turns out that it's a men's club. Not a strip club/brothel nor a place where such... exotic services are granted. It's a cross between a karaoke lounge and a bar where you hire a private room.

Asking about the rates, it seems that for 150/person, you enjoy a 2 hour time period with an open bar. The manager also mentioned something about hostesses [i'm still praying that the girls in the front bar were it] that would accompany you whilst you drink. Not an uncommon practice in Asia, but I'm surprised I found it here. I mean, they aren't exactly strippers, but the concept of... "drinking buddies for hire" kinda weirds me out.

    *

I didn't pay the 150 nor solicit any services, having had my presence being required elsewhere, but I did keep a mental note to myself of this place and am determined, perhaps one day in the near future, to visit it. Perhaps upon the completion of my exams, on a random midsummer's night, I shall render myself the pleasure of being a client of this establishment.

Even without the hostess company, the gorgeous inlaid wooden panels and open bar's enough to... seduce.. me.

  12. Sydney property prices are crazy. Currently living near my uni, but desperately seeking a place to move out to soon. Can't stand living with my idiot housemates anymore. One of them filed a noise complaint suit against me to my estate agent. Saying that the party I had 2 weeks ago kept him from sleeping...

Only problem is. I wasn't even in the state when it happened. Was on holiday in Melbourne.

Looking for a new place at the moment... I'd love to stay in the city but it's kinda hard to justify that kinda rent. It's literally a new CDG something every week.

  13. Really? Double popped collars?

I thought the stupid Sydney attire was some grotesque Freshjive/Mooks tee in some ridiculously putz yellow colour. Topped off with disgusting jeans and some hideous shoes.

Throw into the dryer to make the tee extra tight and jeans extra baggy, sprinkle a little bit of douchebag-attitude on top.

    There you have it!

  14. Regret picking up smoking.

If I didn't pick up smoking, I wouldn't have enjoyed drinking so much.

If I didn't enjoy drinking so much, I wouldn't party so hard.

If I didn't party so hard and get drunk so much, I wouldn't have done that case of criminal damage which is going to cost me roughly 9grand USD all up.

If I didn't party so hard and get drunk so much and then been so hungover the next day, I wouldn't have lost my job which was going to help me pay for the damn court fees.

And all this before I hit the age of 21.

And I regret not studying harder throughout my life.

Strangely enough, I don't particularly regret anything when it comes to women. I think I played it to the best of my ability, and I can't look back with regret to anyone of them.

  15. I don't know about the U. of Wollongong, but believe me when I say that looking for an attractive lady at UNSW is like shopping for Dior at Ayers Rock. There might be, but let's be real. Your chances are next to nothing.

But nightlife wise, UNSW area is roughly 15mins to the city by public transport.

Not to mention UNSW's probably more recognized...

  16. Can't find slouchy beanies anywhere neither. I'm consistently wearing the one my mate got me from HongKong. Best place to get those random accessories for cheap. Looking for more of these plus headbands too. Not the douchebag sporty types. Any idea where? Kinda headovers. Those military style neck warmers and all.

Someone should open a store selling stuff like that. Franchise idea, anyone?
