  1. Just got mypair of 5EP low down boot cuts in the mail. I must concur that the denim is everything I've heard it is. Great color. I got the raws so they are quite stiff. Have not decided whether I will wear them as is or give them a soak. Very nicely understated. I for one love my jeans to be understated. Quality on these babies is top notch. So I guess I've been made.

  2. Very cool post. I've been wanting to get a pair of 5EP's for awhile now. Everyone say's they are great jeans. I just can't decide between the straight downs or the Low down boot cuts. Your post really makes me want to get the straights. Be careful over there and keep your head down and your denim up! Peace.

  3. I have okinawa's as well the details and the slub ect are overwhelming, its hard to find stuff which goes well with the dark blue though, a very differnt colour than my APC's. I wish i hadn't been a pussy though and gone for a 30 instead of the 31 - the Selfedge measurments scared me into it.

Yeah I got my regular size. I talked to Gordon at BIG and he measured them while I was on the phone. I don't really understand Self Edges measurement as far as the Canes go. I was ready to size up as well.

  4. my gf's panties.
Stratman, this too was my first pair of slubby denim and I love em !! Been wearing mine for a few months now and they are only getting better and better. Makes it kinda tough to put my nudies back on....

Next question is what to get next, leaning towards some Iron Hearts, which do you like better your IH's or SC's?

Prior to getting these I would say my IH were my favorite. The 21 oz denim is incredible. And so wearable. But I have to say I like the SC a touch better. The color and texture make them so nice. The IH run a close second so I would definitely say get them.

While I now own several pair of premium denim ( KMW, Iron heart, 45 rpm, APC, R&B) I recently picked up a pair of SC Okinawas. This is my first pair of semi-slubby jeans and I must say I totally love these jeans. I got the one wash and they are so soft and comfortable and the details (patch, rear pocket linings, front pocket cloth) are top notch. When I look at and feel these jeans, I truly feel like I have on something special. Of all denim you own (and I know there is plenty of nice stuff here) what makes you feel on top of the world when you wear it?

  6. A little fraying is ok. But not the huge bite out of the cuff. But personally with a nice pair of dark or raw denim, a clean look is best to me. I like to cuff my jeans with as small a cuff as possible but I do like the cuff. I hate walking on my jeans. A little stack with a small cuff is the look I like best.

  7. No Ric's but I have a 62' American Vintage Reissue Strat, Olympic White, 05 Triple burst American Deluxe Strat.and 2 PRS's. So whether blue jeans or guitars, both are right up my alley. Musicians thead? You guys are cooler than Harmony Central.:)

  8. Received my SC Okinawas today from BIG. What a great pair of jeans. It's always a risk when you buy online but these are great. The denim is slubby without being too slubby. I got the O/W and the fit is spot on. The measurements on BIG's site were right on. Will try to post some pics when I have time. I definitely prefer the one wash when possible. I got some O/W Sorahiko Slims and I'm glad I did that also. I know lots of you guys like the whole soaking thing and that's cool. But me personally, when I'm spending this kind of loot, I would rather be able to try them on and if they don't fit, return them. I won't be returning these. Maybe some Hawaii's in the future. And the service from Gordon was awesome.:)

  9. Call me crazy but I just returned my long awaited PBJ 007's because I was not too fond of the slub. But I also didn't really want another slim pair/low rise pair of jeans. I'm exchanging them for some SC Okinawas. But getting back to the slub factor, while it was interesting, I like smooth tightly woven denim. A little slub would not be bad but those were a little too much for my taste. I'm sure the Canes will have some, but the patch did it for me. Plus I'm a bigger guy so I wanted something a little more Anti-fit.

  10. Mine just came today. I'm at work and can't take pictures. These are some slubby jeans I can tell you that and very stiff. Definitely need a good soaking. Will post some pics as soon as the opportunity permits.

  11. Yeah, got the email saying mine are on the way also. I'm guessing they will be here on Mon. Can't wait to see how these baby's look in person. Wonder how much these things are gonna bleed. No matter. :D

  12. ^ nice pickup. I sized down one on mine and I like the fit alot. I've been debating as well whether I will get another pair and size down 2 just to get a different look. I love my APC's though.... they just go with everything.

  13. I was at BiG yesterday talking to Gordon about them. He showed me a piece of fabric that they tried to fade an it looked very nice. A little different than the 45rpm fade someone posted in the other thread. I think it's pretty safe to go with your actual size.

He also told me that there is a possibility of xx008 being a 005 cut made with the lighter 006 denim. They would be perfect summer jeans but he's not sure if they will come out before June.

Few new things are dropping in store on Saturday and Monday including Samurai and SDA shirts so check it out.

Thanks PM.Like I said, I can't wait. These are going to be different than any other denim I own. I love my jeans to be dark, so these should fill that role rather nicely.

  14. Pulled the trigger on some pbj xx007. They seem like some really cool denim and judging from how many people love their 005, I'm really looking forward. I'm a 36 normally and ordered my actual waist. I hope they don't shrink too much cause these jeans seem pretty slim. This will be my first time soaking some raws.

  15. I still think a mans calf looks like a stretched out ballsack....

    :D

As much as I love denim, I hate denim shorts. I'm a golfer and I still don't like to wear shorts on the golf course. Just doesn't look professional.
