  1. My APCs were stolen out of a gym locker room today in Boston South End (more specifically, the South End Fitness Center at Boston Medical Center).

Things happen, and I should have kept a lock on that, but I can only assume that the thief was one of two people.

    1) A denim aficionado, or

    2) A man in desperate need of pants.

I think this because he took the CASH, Klipsch headphones, and a train ticket from my pocket and put it all back neatly on the top shelf of the locker before running off with my pants and belt. Weird, I know.

Funny thing is, I was holding off posting pics in the scones thread until they were ready to be retired, which would have been literally tomorrow, as I ordered a new pair on Friday. 1.5 years of hard-living. The things were fuckin haggard, man, you guys would have loved them.

What really upsets me is that they ran off with my belt. I had worn that thing for close to 5 years with 4 other pairs of dry denim. It was a gorgeous piece of leather, and I can't buy a new one because I forgot what brand it was. Here is a picture of it on some old Sammies.

If anyone could help me out by IDing this belt, or even just recommending a similar one, I'd be pretty goddamned grateful.

From what I remember, I bought it at nordstroms around 4 years ago for like $50. it was wider than most belts, but not quite 2". (I'm thinking either 1 5/8 or more likely 1 3/4" wide.

    Thanks,

    Jim

  3. *Update*

I still can't believe I couldn't get rid of these for a hundred bucks, but since I'm moving soon and trying to rid ofself of things I don't use anymore, I'll let them go for for 60 dollars plus shipping,

    *End update*

Im pretty much done with bootlegs. But these jeans, man. These jeans just have so much more love to give!!

You pick them up and they feel like they need a wearer. I can no longer be that wearer, but I'd love to find someone to fill the position.

Im not even sure what to ask, but Ill start at $100. but will accept reasonable offers:

    Caution! PIC DUMP!

Pants have been worn almost 4 months every day, one cold soak wth woolite a couple months back. two hot soaks / hang dries initially. hemmed, but not chain.

But theyre still gorgeous jeans! hundred bucks, or something interesting.

  4. Last year I accidentally put an unretracted pen into the front pocket of my nudies. The ink bled through to the outside, leaving a penny-sized blotch. I remember not caring much about it at the time, but I got some vomit on them about a month later, so I had them dry-cleaned. The dry-cleaning got the ink out, as well as the puke.

  5. It kind of hurts me to do this, since I really liked these jeans before they shrank, but oh well.

Flathead 3007 bootcut. An extremely nice, modern fitting buutcut jean made with an extremely high quality selvedge denim. They fit me well pre-soak, but I under estimated how much these would shrink post-soak, so now they're up for sale. Already shurnk, and damn near brand new.

I bought them at Self Edge on Friday afternoon (November 2nd) (have picture of receipt to prove purcahse date), went home and gently soaked them in tepid water for an hour, and let them hand-dry until monday. They were worn monday - wednesday for 30 hours total. I decided that even if they stretched out, they'd fit too slim on me, so I soaked them briefly once more to remove the slight creases that had start to set on the lap and behind the knees, and I let them dry until this morning (November 9th)

These really are spectacular Jeans, but they are too tight on me now.

Them have lost absolutely no indigo. Even during the soak, the water as as clear as it ever was when the jeans were removed. The creases I started to set are gone, and these are ready for a new owner and a new life.

They were expensive ($280 + tx), and I'm not going to eat a large portion of it, so I think $160 plus shipping seems fair to me.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free ask or voice them.

I know I don't have much sufu experience / rep / feedback or whatever, but I do have excellent ebay feedback, check under the user: sevennus

  6. Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know what a glowing experience I had at self edge today.

I live in Sacramento, which is about two hours to Kiya's store, (and about 4 hours back, because of traffic) which might seem like a long distance to travel for one boutique, but it turned out to be completely worth it.

Kiya is knowledgable, friendly, and extremely helpful. I would recomend his shop to any of my friends, and I'm now whole-heartedly recommending it to you.
