  1. i thought lanvin sneakers + suit was pretty a good look

I wholeheartedly agree, although I do think the reason that look's working for me is the amount of "luxury" the materials in most of the Lanvin sneakers seem to convey. No other sneakers that I've seen, apart maybe from Common Projects, have that same feeling of luxury.

On a side note, matching the tie with the sneakers almost brings more attention to the fact that he's wearing those big bulky, and in the context innappropriate, sneakers.

  2. Try em both on if you can. I'd say the DH doesn't stretch as much as APCs, and if yuo think about it... they wont stretch (that much) unless you stretch them. So yeah. I'd go for 28s in your case.... but then i tdepends how tight you like em =0

Yea, I would if I just could, problem is that the MIJ's aren't available in sizes under 29 (or perhaps 30) in Sweden at the moment :(

Edit: How big is the difference between the predistressed jeans and the raws? All I've heard is that the washed is a bit tighter overall. I tried on a pair of MIJ "Under my car" wash jeans in a size 28 this weekend and the fit was just spot on.

  3. I am in somewhat of a pickle, I want to get a pair of black raw 19 cm MIJ jeans. But I can't decide on sizing. I currently have the indigos in size 29, but I've lost some weight since I got them and they run a tad too big, when I put stuff in my pockets I have to wear a belt to prevent them from falling off. They probably would have been a bit big anyway seeing as it wasn't realy hard to button them when they were new. Anyway, now I'm considering wether I should get a pair in size 28 or 27. My natural waist is about 76 cm, or 30".

Considering the waist on the 28's should be around 30" that be quite a safe bet, but should I account for stretch and get a 27?

  4. I don't know if anyone have recommended this earlier in the thread, I looked for the english title "Steamboy" but I couldn't find it, it's possible someone recommended it under the japanese title, in that case, I'm sorry for repeating this suggestion. But the movie "Steamboy" seems to be realy good, I saw parts of it today, the animation is good, borderline great and the story seems quite intersting (only saw part of it). So I realy recommend it. Here's the imdb link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348121/

Also, I'm quite surprised it took three pages to someone to recommend Akira, what's up with that?

  5. I don't know if anyone said this yet, I read through the thread a day or so ago and no one had mentioned this. But what I'd like to see is clasps and "waxings" à la Dior Homme. I'm serious, the clasp insted of the top button just add a little extra feeling to expense, and Dior Homme's waxed denim is just so beautiful, so I think a cheaper alternative to that would probably be quite popular.

Edit: yea, I'm currently feeling realy influenced by Dior :P

  6. Ugh, watching Elijah Wood trying to play a football hooligan just makes you want to throw up after a while.

In my oppinion, a much better movie about football hooligans is Football Factory. Because it's allways nice to see people kick the shit out of eachother for no reason whatsoever and just basically having the time of their life.

If you enjoy that one I think you'd also enjoy The Business, which is written and directed by the same person and starring pretty much the same actors. Only this time they're gangsters.
