    cheers!!!!!! BD

  2. @ Turntabloid: the jeans are completely in the colors of Berlin (black, red & white...apart from the indigo-blue of course), also there were 3 color-options for the label: black (NO!) red (hard to get the RIGHT red) and white (its not a really white, its more ivory). And there is a important reason for the bigger size of the label: if your wear your jeans with belt (like me) altough you can see the Berlin Denim-tag (clever ;-)

@ Opie: here a better pic. You get this "instruction-tee" with a every pair instead of the normal care-label inside the jeans. Its written in english and the Berlin-typical Slang:

  3. Back To The Roots

(remember, Mr. Levi Strauss was a born german, also Jacob Davis, the innovator of the riveted pants):

The 1st jeans manufactured in Berlin/Germany are now on the market.

Made from 16oz Selvage Denim, Copper-riveted, very clean designed,

rigid (of course!!!!!!), sanforized, classic straight cut and so on...........

Take a peek and let me know what do you think.

PS: its NOT a mass-product, the manufactory is very small with 2 Vintage Dürkopp-Leather-Sewing-Machines, that means, we produce about 5-6 jeans per week......

    cheers, Alex

  4. I never said you copied it - but the symbol is obviously a Lee'ish symbol .. stevie wonder could've saw that in fact I am sure ..

it was supposed to be a stylized racer-flag (like the flags on our old stock-card label).

but we will change the curves for the next edition (we will call it THE STEVIE-WONDER- or THE RAY-CHARLES-EDITION, we´re not sure yet ;-) comin´ in march 2007

  5. Has anybody heard of this label?!

    http://www.dress-o-rama.com/content_start.htm

The site doesn't really work, but you can order from www.vintagedenim.de, they also have some general info on them (German only as it seems) .

Searched the forum, but didn't find anything... Ban me, if it's like the 1000th thread on this or something.

I don't like the race backstitching, but Kaihara selvage denim surely sounds nice to me for fucking 99€!! I'm drooling....

They say "Made in EU", so I guess they are made in Turkey judging by the price... but of course I don't know that for sure.

It's not like this label has blown me away or anything, but it's always nice to find out about new brands especially when they are affordable, so I thought I'd share.

    THANKS FOR THE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!

Here a few details about our jeans: the whole garment is made in the EU, that means, we don´t use Kaihara denim (we had used it for the last editions), the denim is produced in Italy by a really small factory on the original looms and the jeans are NOT made in Turkey (Turkey is not EU as far as we know... ;-))

TO DAVE: sorry for that, we had some problems with our webshop, some orders never arrived on our E-Mail-account and were lost in space, but we work on it at the moment to sort it out (we also work on the English version. Yes, we DO speak a little bit of English after all...)

TO MARKUS: Danke für die Blumen!

TO TONY: Your version is nearly correct!

TO NUMERO UNO: we DON´T copy Lee or Levi´s or any other label, we put the best things (for us) of the jeans of the 1930´s to the early 1950´s in a shaker, mixed it and ready is the ACE. We were running a shop for the last 6 years where we sold vintage denim & repros (Levi´s, Lee; Blue Bell and, of course, ACE and nobody of the customers called the ACE a LEE-Repro. Good idea with the stitching, by the way.

Why Silver Edition? The Cinchback is silver and the thread grey, the old editions had a brass Cinchback and yellow thread.

TO ACEKIEFER: Sorry, slim fits are not our cup of beer ....
