Stumbled along these jewellery designers from Italy:
http://www.toyme.it/Toy_Me_Milano/Home.html
Is anyone stocking their stuff in asia yet?

Seriosuly, I'd rather fly to Hong Kong or Tokyo than pay those prices for a limited selection of clothes. Seriously more economically viable.
Are they doing well financially? I guess there are enough people who splash..

I've been waiting so long to use this appropriately:

Selfridges and Harrods are the main ones. Dover St Market usual stocks, Pineal Eye on Broadwick St to new a few more...

A meditation on motorcyclists and the "biker" uniform
That's very nicely expressed.
Servo, what is your interest fashion? Study/work/general interest? It's a great thread you've got happening.

Anyone in Australia have any experience ordering from Luisviaroma? Delivery time, any unexpected costs besides the 50 euro shipping?
50 euro shipping is a pain...

In Sydney, the Nudie shop gives out repair kits for free. They're pop tins with a patch of denim, thread, sand paper, rivets and a button.
Maybe you can get Nudie to send you one... Or replace your jeans.

Thanks Brooklyn. Might give him a try if it comes down to it.
Come on, there's got to be somebody else out there in Tokyo who knows?

In particular, does Dior Homme Tokyo stock the Dermo System range?
Where else in the world is stocking it? I assume Paris, I know Selfridges London does too...
Cheers

So, Im heading abck home to Australia soon after a few years in Tokyo and I have to start transporting back my clothes, CDs, magazines - basically my life ! So Im wondering, how far can you push the airlines with luggage restrictions? etc etc
Will you be flying JAL? From my experience they can be a little strict, if you're lucky maybe they might let you sneak through 25kg+. But that's just from my experience.
Some hilarious stories on this thread.
Oh, the things I did to bring back my 40kg bounty from Heathrow to Sydney. Let's just say... "...baggage left unattended".

How about at a little gallery/exhibition opening?
It'll have party vibes and probably less claustrophobic meet up... if you know what I mean...

Yeah, especially if your fit is a little tighter, you'll get less whiskering just because there isn't any room to crease.

so does robby ingham stock CDG stuff?
i wanna get some of their perfume
Apu, if you can, try and get your CDG perfume overseas as it's ridculously priced at both Robby Ingham and Mecca Cosmetica. Double price...

those are nice jeans bigjeans, but becareful about collecting dior homme, that shit can get expensive. at one point I had $10K worth of DH stuff in my closet and it was all shit in my size that I was planning to wear. After a while I began to cut down and probably sold 40-60% of the stuff. Having the stuff in hand was nice at once point but if I didn't wear it after a while it felt like a waste. Now I try not to get too attached to DH, I'll only keep shit that fits perfect and goes well with my other stuff.
Good work accumulating all that Dior! But,
Dior is so wearable, it doesn't deserve to live in the closet!

Forget the trains. That's fast food.
You want to see the sushi chef make it for you, like a cocktail bar.
Toko (Crown St)
Sushi-E (Establishment Building)
And all the little boutique Japanese restaurants.

the worst thing about slipping sunglasses is how the lens gets foggy from my own body heat in about 5 minutes unless i am walking.
Yeah I know the pain, especially when the style really suits. Aviators never go wrong cause of the nose pieces...

how exactly can glasses be modified for asian faces? im asian and my glasses are always sliding down my nose
Asians tend to have a flatter bridge on their noses, if none at all. That's why our glasses keep slipping down. Louis Vuitton, obvioulsy dealing with a massive amount of asian clientele model their frames (the bit that sits on the nose bridge) higher. And it really works too...

$1,775 USD... better have some change left to put in the damn thing. Otherwise that Japanese craftsman's work will be in vain.

I really like that shirt, I'm guessing it's current season? Except I don't see it on the website...

I'm surprised there hasn't been any mention of Louis Vuitton sunnies here. I'm not sure how LV goes down over here in Superfuture though... I must say they are worth every penny you paid for.
Hand polished acetate in France, Karl Zeiss lens and the build quality is so solid.
The Karl Zeiss lens are so comfortable on the eyes and the clarity... I'm deadset serious when I say that there are things that the eye should not be seeing through these lenses...
And the fact that they even have modified frames for Asian faces (because of our lack of nose bridge) is pretty class.

Yeah it's Beat Poet. Kinda cool, like the Lad Musician ties.
But what's the deal with Fillipa K stuff being soooo overpriced here? Fillipa K ties are like $100 AUD equivalent over in Europe.

Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett have worn Dior... that might help you figure stuff out.
I think Dior Homme goes beyond androgeny into quite feminine... for a guy anyway.
Maybe the current S/S collection might suit you, shear cotton singlets/shirts and high crop jackets/coats...

Anyone reading this thread and works as a shop assistant in HK, please take note. Especially those in Lane Crawford and such.
I don't think it's so much as rude (though there are more rude shop assistants in HK than elsewhere) but just a real lack of professionalism i.e. following shoppers like they are on parol, trying to make the sale of an item, etc.
The gweilo thing is such a retarded attitude too.
On a brighter note, Bottega Veneta in Harbour City has some of the best service I have come across in all my travels.
And interestingly, the staff in Chrome Hearts are were probably the friendliest in HK, even if you're just trying (and not even buying) a t-shirt... I figured it has something to do with such insanely exhorbitant prices, that the staff have nothing to be smug about...

Recommended Hong Kong hair salons
in superjetset

Heading over to HK in a few days. What are your recommendations? I'm pretty open to a whole spread across the price range just to get a general idea first.
Particularly wanting to straighten my hair, cause I heard it's cheaper to do it, but also heard the results can be risky..
So who's your hairdresser?
