Might wanna check out Jack Spade bags. I know their messenger bags are good and they make regular bags and totes.

I think cords are a good spring and fall choice. As long as they are straight leg and slim and in a lighter color, like camel or khaki. They would go well with brown or black laceups or white sneakers, pretty much everything. Paired with a solid white buttondown or white vneck tee, looks really crisp.
Just avoid matching with a cord blazer so you dont look like a dorky college professor.

Flippa k makes some nice suits. The button stance is quite low which creates a slimming appearance. On sale, probably could get sub $500
Theory also makes pretty slim stuff. I know they made some good cotton suits last year. Pretty affordable when on sale too

Levi's Jeans: Boring Or Hot?

I too like the 772 wash, probably the only wash I like from Diesel nowadays, and if I had to choose a distressed jean id wear them again. The biggest problem with Diesel etc. I see is the $180-$220 pricetag which is a tad too much when one looks at better alternatives.
Well fitting 514 or STF's can be had for less than $50, bigger body types can pull off a 501 as well, and you can always just buy some new standards for $140 if all else fails. If you want to spend as much as Diesel, like already stated, go for jap denim. The jeans will be understated, subtle, and tasteful - instead of trendy, loud, and well...frat boyish.
