  1. Also got a stock of 5001's. Same cut as the 3001, but in 14oz denim rather than 14.5oz and a button fly rather than a zipper. Also have a few 2004, these are the same denim as the 3005 but a looser cut. On the site in the next couple of days or email me. [email protected].

  2. anyone got any 3008/3009? impressions? fit pics?

    thanks

We've got a few pairs of 3009's here, all with plain rear pockets. The same cut as F380 but with all cotton stitching. $295 delivered.

Not up on the site yet, but drop us a mail if you want more info: [email protected]

  3. Yeah those prices seem to be the going rate in the UK. They have some SDA in American classics for £180, and superdenim has them for similar prices.

I wouldn't ever pay that personally but they are not overcharging compared to anyone else.

Or get them from me at www.flat-head.co.uk:

This website will be up and running very shortly. We do have in stock and ready to ship a large range of denim, some of the jeans we hold are: 3001, 4001, 1005, 3005, 5005, F380, 5100, 3009 and 3003.

Price delivered for all styles except the 1005 is:

    GBP165, Eur240 or USD290

For the 1005's price delivered is:

    GBP180, Eur255 or USD310

Get in touch if you need help or want something. PayPal and CC's accepted.

  4. All the sizing experiments I have done with a wide range of Flathead jeans and denim shirts result in the tagged waist (or chest) size being fairly accurate after hot soaking. So my advice is buy the tagsize. The sizing charts I put up on the website are really there more so people can compare the rise, the round the arse maesurement etc., from one design to another

  5. Do you like them? Which ones are your favorites? I am thinking of purchasing a pair. I have several low rise/ slim cut jeans and 501 repros and now ready for something different. I've thought about Studio D' Artisan's SD-D01's but not sure about the fit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

aubrgene, How about these? Normal superb Flat Head construction and attention to detail:

    s5003_b-mid.jpg

    Available from mid/end March. Sizes 25-34, 36 & 38. Raw 13.5oz selvedge.

Drop me a note for more info Arcuate and tags on the current production run will likely be different from the above (for obvious reasons!)

  6. I'm curious how it shrank too..

We're getting these in at Self Edge next month..

The 7005 size 44 starts of at about 46 chest and ends up at about 43. Arms and back shrink about 2 inches too. The 7001 does the same thing, the 44 I soaked end up at exactly the same size as a raw 42.

  7. If you go here: www.flat-head.co.uk you will be able to link to a sizing chart. Apologies for the rather primitive nature of the website. I was not intending to publish just yet, but the sizing chart here will help answer some of your questions. I do not have the sizings for the 5100's, but they are a little slimmer than the 3005's and constructed out of 13.5oz denim rather than the 14.5oz of the 3005's. As soon as I have the 5100 sizing I will publish.

All sizes are unwashed raw, unless the model number ends in a "C" (hard-washed) or an "R" (re-worked) in which case they are pre-shrunk.

  8. Definately liking the lined pockets, an added bit of quality. Leather patch looks good but personally would like to have seen the motorcycle motif retained somehow.

Flathead are you going to be carrying any of the belts and shirts in Europe that Kiya mentioned are coming to the US? Those Ironheart belts look heavy-duty.

Yes. Belts available mid March. Selvedge western shirts mid-end March. Check (sorry, plaid) western shirts, later in the year.

See belts and selvedge shirts here: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/html/news.htm

  9. did flathead have a european presence as well before self edge started carrying them in the states?

Kiya and I met with the guys from Flathead Japan together in LA in December. At that meeting, Kiya agreed rights for North America and I agreed exclusive distributor rights for Europe and basically any other part of the world that Flathead are not currently selling into. I have had exclusive rights for Ironheart for about 18 months, I have granted Self Edge exclusive rights for Ironheart for North America.

  10. neil is standing firm! ;)

Flathead, out of curiosity what are some of your Iron Heart prices, and did your new customers know about the suit (ie. were they from superfuture, or elsewhere)?

    very interesting responses here...

tweedlesinpink. Go to www.ironheart.co.uk for pricing. Some knew and were desperate to get a pair before the changes are implemented and others were unaware. Basically a mix of super and non-superfuture

  11. Hi,

There's been a lot of talk about the Levi/Japanese denim "lawsuits'

I was wondering if it made any of you buy quicker and if so what did you buy and did you feel the price or the product or service was hyped because of the 'lawsuits' ?

did you feel the price you paid was level with the Japanese market or over played

was there any unfair trading or wrong doing over the matter

    just asking

    Neil

I sell Ironheart (and soon Flathead) in Europe and demand for Ironheart has leapt since the "lawsuits". My prices have remained unchanged.

  12. Hi all, I met the Flathead guys with Kiya when I was in LA just before Christmas. As Kiya says, amazing stuff. Kiya has the rights for North America, I have the rights for Europe. I will be getting the European website up and running soon. We'll probably concentrate on the denim to start with, but am happy to take advice from you as to what else you would like to see available in Europe. Let me know. Thanks
