Here are some fit-pics of my 1880 in comparison with my 37 501. The 1880 pics are brightened up with photoshop because the where too dark. I wear them in rotation for about 3 months but they fade very slow (compareable with the 201). They are both W30 true to my waistsize.

These 47 look nearly identical to my two year old ones. And of course they are fake, but the job he did is perfect. Look at all those LVC limited editions - they are fake too but hard to get because many people buy them. I have so many jeans that I cannot give them all the wear they need to look like this 47. Therefore I bought a 33 "Road Rush" Ltd. Editon. I like the look, but the quality is poor. i lost two rivets and the quality of the denim is very different. In washboys case he uses the good quality and makes them look very good. I think there are enough people that will by such a nice denim. I would give him pos. rep but I am not able to. Cannot understand this.

Very nice work washboy. Looks very authentic. Please let us see more pics.

I bought mine in actual waist size. Before soaking them, I spread a bamboo stick (long about 40cm) in the waist to avoid too much shrinkage in the waistband. It worked and the fit is perfect. When machine wash it is a little bit difficult to spread the bamboo in the wet denim but with a little effort it worked also. Good luck

Thank you paul, I didn't know that there were also "Lady Lee's". But interesting that there was a difference in production between men and women (selvage and nonselvage). Or do you think the selvage version is older an was a kind of "deadstock" before my parents bought them?

And here are dadys Lee's

Here are some pics of my mumys lee's. My dadys lee's will follow. They bought them 1963 here in vienna at the same time in the same shop before they went on their honeymoon. Can anyone help why they are different? Mumys are not selvage with leather label where we all know it, my dadys are selvage with leather label on the right back pocket.

Difference between Lee 1936 (W28) and Levis 501xx 1937 (W30). Lee is about 2 years old with one hot soak and two mashine washes, Levis is nearly new, only one hot soak and thre days of wear. The cut and the measurements are completely the same as you can see on the pictures[/img]

Take a 1937 model in your actual size. Cultizm delivers them with snap on buttons for suspenders.

What else is to expect from the F/W 09 collection? Do you have details?

Indeed, it was necessary. They looked like WW II riding trousers. I can only recommend NOT to upsize with the 201!! Yesterday I did my initial soak on my new 1937 501 (W30/L34) and the fit is perfect . I normally wear W30 and I soaked the 37 with a bamboo stick in the wasteband to stop shrinkage in the top area and this worked.

I would if I could. I don't know how to encolse a picture. Can you help?

How could you? I mean that's like chopping the front end of a mint '63 XKE Jag 'cause you didn't like the long nose -- what a disgrace.
I know what you mean. I own a 63 Jaguar E-type and I like the fantastic line, but for every day use the nose is indeed to long especially during the rush hours. And you'r right, I wouldn't cut the nose off. But the reason is not that I wouldnt do it, but It would be too expencive. I wear my 201 every day for work and it was too roomy for me. The magic word is "individualism". Look at all those old levi jeans that had been found. They had all the individual features of their owner. Cut off Chinch or cut off legs like the knappave 1880's. I bought my 201 via e-bay - too big - and had no chance to send them back. Shouldn't I wear them because they look like from my big brother? Now I wear them every day and they start to get nice fading and they are now my favorite jeans. Is that a mistake? And I would prefer some 30's hotrod instead of a concour Fort Type A

No, I like the old fit, but the 201cut was a little bit to much. My mistake was to size up from W30 to W32. I think it is now similar to a shrunk W30 201. Compareable to my 33 501

I had same fitting problem with my 20 201. My sister did some sewing work on them and now they are perfect. A little bit boot-cut to preserve the selvege on the cuffs, but the fit is slimmer now in the upper area.

Does anyone know why the Lot 66 Bib is not riveted? Shouldn't it be as a workpant?

Hi, is the color gone or has it just changed to a very light grey. In my case it was light grey after hot soak. I brushed them with a nailbrush and soap and they got back the black colour. Also in the dryer of the wash mashine, they will get back their black color.
