  1. Dawg I don't floss with Mayor Ford by any stretch of the imagination, but removing magazines, with a photoshop of the mayor nude on the front cover, from city property, is not much of a breach of free expression. From time to time I see a cogent and reasonable critique of the man or his policies, but so long as Now and it's contemporaries define the tone of twentysomething dissenters as left of far-left and juvenile as internet comments, I will continue to find it difficult to throw in with them.

Now is now, and for as long as I've been reading in cafeterias and streetcars, always has been, a shit magazine. It's doubly shitty when aspires to punditry.

  2. studio kim does the repairs for sydney. sydney doesn't do it himself anymore. hasn't for several years. just go straight to studio kim.

Yeah. Skip Syd's for the repairs. Kim does a super legit job although she is a lil pricey.

For alterations beyond a hem though, go to Sydney. Pinning is 90% of nailing an alteration and getting yourself pinned at an alterationist who spends most of their time tailoring Gap khakis is a surfire way to get your stuff fucked up.

Scariest thing I've heard at Kim's:

"How much can you take these pants in?"

    "As much as you like"

    Ugh.

  3. Hey London-ERSSSS.

I might be doing graduate work at UCL or Imperial next year and was looking into apartment situations. There's a glut of bullshit on google that I can't wade through, and Craigslist has so little traffic compared to other large cities (I'm in Toronto where EVERY apartment is through craigs) that it seems suspect. Where do londoners post apartments? I'm obv. on a budget and looking in the $900-1200 USD range. How far out should I plan to live? WHERE DO I FIND A PLACE TO SLEEP ON THE REGULAR.

  4. hotels recommendations for new years eve with my girl?

looking for in room jacuzzi, good room service and a nice rooftop or bar for drinks

was thinking park hyatt or drake, never been to either one..

Hyatt is rad but hella old man styles. I hit the bar for a drink from time to time because it's a total trip, but not so good for the under forty crowd.

    Drake is for toys.

I got a room at the Thomson a while ago and I liked it. Just as many douchebags as I'd expect for the area but the rooftop bar/pool is really nice and the rooms are huge.

When i say rooms I mean three rooms.

like it had three rooms and the bathroom was bigger than my apartment.

  5. the best burger is by a long shot either the in n out or the juicy lucy at stockyards. they're among the top burgers i've ever eaten, easily.

    This.

You guys ever see the meat trucks deliver to utopia? Frozen everything fam, Uptop is decent and all but you should take pause about a bison burger that clocks in at 12$, you ever see a bison? You couldn't pay me that little to kill one of them shits.

Something has to be under kosher with that deal.

Hit the stockyards. Or, if you want to eat a decent burger just anywhere then Craft on king is aight, ten bucks sits right for ground beef.

Czehoski is 10.17 with tax, also a decent shot.

    Forgive the brutal pictures.

Trousers are a very subtle micro-cord, seam curves down the leg, not a full twist seam. Fit is very slim. Waist is large and rise is low as pants are meant to be worn low. Best fit for a 31 or 32.

Reasons selling: I'm too tall for the curve effect. Cupro fabric has a sheen to it that compliments julius aesthetic well, not so much my aesthetic. See top block/back picture for fabric lusture.

Condition is: worn several times, hems are still raw.

Retail was $795 asking $275--> $220 shipping in for NA, europe/elsewhere will pay extra shipping.

    Individual Sentiments Trousers:

High Tension cotton/Linen blocked trousers - Black

    Size 3

    Waist: 16.75

    Front Rise 9

    Back Rise 11.5

Inseam: LONG (around 42 best measure)

    Thigh 10

    Hem 7

  7. i know it's incredibly obvious, but it doesn't make the following any less true; midtown is an utterly, utterly shitty excuse for a bar. fuck everything about that place. but it was the birthday girl's decision.

i need a job hookup in toronto, been papering the usual areas the past 2 weekends.

Nadege at Queen and Gore Vale is opening a patio/more tables. I think they are going to try to do the cafe/park thing for the summer. I imagine it'll be a pretty tidy hustle what with the pastry and bellwoods right there. They have a help wanted sign up. Call them.
