  1. So if thats the case then why are most of the jaanese brands that have a motive for making exact replica vintage jeans starting to make a lot more heavy denim, iron hearts 19oz, 15, 17, and 19 oz samurais, even evisu pushes their boxed delux 19oz. Is heavier denim a trend among us consumers or just the brands

  2. - A Bathing Ape variations, like A Rhyming Ape or whatever else. Remember the Stormtrooper /Mao Zedong versions?

    - Ironic Crimson Ghost imagery. Fuck I even saw a mainland chinese girl carrying a tote with the Crimson Ghost on it.

I think the mao stuff was trumvir but in not sure, but definatley not creative

  3. im new to this still and I noticed from the evolution posts a lot of jeans show wear at differnt times depending on the brand and type of denim, but also, I see that most people post pics of jeans after 6months to 2yrs of everyday usage, but when i look at pre-distressed jeans from expensive brands I see them trying to replicate a 5 or 7 year wash (like45rpm).

So I began to wander if anybody on here is working on any pairs with a lot longer time behind em than what I see on the other posts. Is 6months all it takes for most of us or do some of you plan to go longer before soaks and washes. Why do i not see any 4 yr pics from raw denim wearers? Or am I just missing them?

  4. I seen the gap selvage joints at the mall today after reading thiis post. They aren't that bad at all. straightleg, slightly slim. decent for 98 schillings but nothing compared to the brands and quality that are usualy spoken about in this forum. They also seem nowhere near as heavy as other japanese selvedge raw or (no wash) denim. Sumbody should copp just to see if they fade fast like nudies or apc's.........

  5. it may get a little mainstrean like everything else underground. Companies market and exploit subcultures Look at how being a sneakerhead blew up since 1999. but serious connoisseures will always stand out looking for discontinued or heavy ounced selvedge vintage loomed jeans that you just wont find by the big retailers. The differrence will be in the wear as well as the brand mainstream or not. Jeans are a staple and people will constantly wear em as their styles go in or out. So even if raw goes mainstream, selvage has to catch up, different weaves have to as well, so hardcore fanatics will discern themselves from the rest.

  6. im looking for a new pair of indigo selvedge joints to wear in and I'm partial to levis but with so many good brands its hard to buy. I have an old pair of prps denims and black vintage gucci selvedge jeans.

    I need these characteristics:

    -extremely riged

-very heavy looking for 19oz or above

-maybe multicoled selvedge like edwin rainbow

    -loose straight fit

-or something fitting like levis 501

-deep indigo blue almost shiny in color

    Brands or models intersted in:

    -Edwin

    -Samurai

    -Levis x Swagger multi rivet

    -Levis x Fragment gold edition

heres a pic of the levis swagger collab but i dunno if the're selvedge or not
