The Achse jacket is a solid pc - not surprised it sold out in olive, in hindsight would have been great kilgore replacement. btw - don't sleep on the townsend coat (green color), it's great jacket imo. I believe Revive will be get it in soon (plug) so grab one while you can (I know green sold out online, maybe JP stores too)

ditto - size up.  although one can go TTS, its a 'shacket' - best to have slightly larger IMO.  if your going to attempt a denim 101/103 underneath good luck. arms are cut super high and body is narrow - just think it gets longer but again i rock as shirt jacket mid or top layer (over a tee or BD) super warm too, kerchief is highly recommended from me regardless of outer shell material.

FIL HK retail is less expensive then any US or EU stock list - don't be mislead to believe otherwise.  Safest bet is to still find a trustworthy JP proxy and buy from JP direct.  The Yen is weak and for most items, the stock is abundant except when special releases ala ICT, Isetan etc.

JP retail on 101 jkt damaged - 62,640 yen (inc jp tax) = $630 (on good day) + 10-12% proxy + ems fee maybe total $745ish

actually this jacket is not my cup of tea - just passing notes along from someone whom just purchased this item.  as for added floral touch, its appears to be an internal detail, lower half of jacket on interior side.  jacket doesn't actually have exterior pockets.

actually 04 non wash, just purchased 1 size up.  I have 01 slims in NW as well that had taken in - great jeans

^ word - definitely size up.  The herringbone fabric is insane on the Lugli and if your into roses - HN included some on the inside pocket lining for ya

BTW - anyone here check recently check the visvim site out now for pricing ?  seems that they removed HKD pricing from even the ASIA section of webshop.  pricing looks more like USA pricing for HK rather than vice versa - shits getting steep now for web orders - its insane to think the 101 is a 600 jacket and online its 1120 bucks (ala Union pricing)  ICT webshop is still in HKD at least

actually the bandanas are vintage and certainly not polyester - they were all colorfast cotton based fabrics back in the day

7 - pastoral pants are great, my favorite new pant since slim infantry pants dropped.  not only because of more relaxed rise and cut, but due to damaged moleskin fabric used.  they will also release a damaged chino and N.D. pastoral pant - all are great imo

D - caravan much better in navy color way, but I still prefer the ICT insulator and kerchief styles more

looking forward to this upcoming SS14 season, can't wait for the following items.

Pastoral Pants, great new fitting pants, lower crotch & relaxed fit. The Natural Dyed Moleskin version was insane, as was the damaged Moleskin and Giza versions. Didn't care for HW version - regular will be way to go

Seabee Pants, will be hyped because Hiroki wore them. Great for the slim guys, and those with deeper pockets since these were the most pricey pants at show. Over 1200usd if I recall (in HK, maybe $700 in Japan). And yes the 'Braces' are connected via buttons - I'm passing but if any do get them - i suggest the special Damaged Slub Cord version or the ND damaged moleskin version that HN is wearing in the Paris pictures few months back - those both are very unique due to processing + would love to see how others will wear - next level Amish style.

Speaking if Amish, the Long Rider Shirt in the herringbone was sweet. Great little details that make it authentic and special.

My favorites (and items I ordered) were the Patchwork Insulator Vest, Black Elk Flannels in the Indigo Buffalo Check, Varsity Jackt IT, Giza Chino Lhamo Robe with Kuba. Kerchief Dots Tunic, and Damaged SS Albacore with ND flora in indigo.

Other notables, obviously the Mies Coat (HN hype pc) which was great jacket esp if your tall and lean - tip don't sleep on charcoal color in this or Navy color way. The ND Gore-tex Totem Parka, Brigs fans will love the all Suede Models coming out, Suede Kilgore IT (blue was best one), and 101 IT in beige was a winner imo although many liked the Indigo dyed.

I'm sure I missed a few but overall in closing - season is solid. I continue to love what visvim is doing with their fabrics and their processing. Yet I'm still baffled by their lame footwear offerings and can only pray for FIL exclusive release (and cross fingers for Fall 14)

Side note to HN - enough with the Kilgore, offering it in 3 more fabrics this season is enough already, short of making it in Denim - stop it already. Maybe bring back some other OW classics for Fall or hey maybe focus some energy on footwear.

@strangeways Did you ever get a chance to compare your 01 slims with 03 and 04. Is the leg opening wider?

i have recently switched over to the 01 Slim jeans (purchased 01 slim D5 and 01 slim NW over past 2 months)  personally I love these the most of all fits. IMO works best for my build and are much more comfortable having the slightly higher rise (button fly) and slightly wider leg/thigh.  I started with W36 04 then moved to a W34 03 but rise was still a nut buster + i have never been keen on having no selvedge seams on a $400+ jeans but whatever.  the new 01 slims are better to me in thigh and rise but just slightly wider, id say 1/2"-3/4" max where it counts.  In a perfect world Hiroki would make me a pair with the button fly, rise and thigh on an 01 slime and the legs of a 03 

my new 01 slim NW in W34 L30 are in route from japan this weekend so when i get all in hand ill get some pics up so all can compare the NW03 W34 vs NW01 slim W34

also my 2 cents on the kilgores - HN is killing these (FW13) right now with his damaged process wash so SIZE UP on those.  ive had both FW12 and SS13 kilgores and both fit nicely and wash was not so heavy.  All this wet/dry processing just changes specs so rule of thumb to me is the more damage = 1 size bigger (also if not Giza and just regular chino then for sure size up - Giza to me is softer and stretches more with wear.  For the record, i wear size 4 in FW12/SS13 kilgores and kapala model, size 5 in ICT Kofu model and the size 4 FW13 kilgore i got in Navy is much smaller then all these and Navy looks like grey due to heavy wash so keep that in mind

saltz - also picked up the black bison Virgil's, not as tight as my ICT Virgil's but certainly 'substantial' as Protues puts it

kilgore's - certainly agree with the mr mastermind over here on the Giza ones. I have the ICT dark indigo one with vintage fabric elbow patches and its lovely fabric and details/color. Tried on the Linen at trunk show and heard the threads busting when I 'hulk flexed' in the size 4 so passed on it but that blue one is nice. The Yak was cool but fabric kinda too drapey for me and with it being wool any humidity would sure to shrink it so passed on it (not to mention price tag)

And truth be told I pre ordered that slub cord Kilgore even with the peace sign and emoticon patch fu ck it, I'll rock it still (btw i planed to remove the smiley face patch and sell to master). Couldnt resist the unique cord color and the finishing was tight IMO (blue one ordered)
