New to the board and to real jeans, but here's my contribution:
They're Crate James the Thirds, size 29 and hemmed about an inch and a half. I probably could have sized down to a 28, but I'm pretty happy with the fit. I've been wearing them for a month straight.

The Crates I have stretched like crazy. I bought a pair of James III's a few month ago in a 29 which was a slightly too tight fit initially and they're now slightly loose. I just bought a new pair in a 28, which I couldn't even button up at first and after a few days they fit quite well. Given their inconsistent denim sources I imagine it's going to be difficult to compare though. Some of their lots might stretch a bunch, some not at all. The James I have are the super dark indigo (almost, but not quite black) with black stitching and the dark indigo with light brown/orange stitching, though who knows if that'll be helpful. For reference, I also have a pair of Ola's in a 28, which fit in between the two Crates. There are pics of my first James and Olas in the How do Jeans Fit thread. I can post pics of the new Crates later tonight if it's helpful.

If these are still available, I definitely want them.

If I'm reading things right, everyone is planning on soaking their denim before this experiment. I thought the usual idea was to hold off as long as possible on getting raw denim wet? I can understand if a few people were planning to soak to correct the fit, but surely that isn't necessary for everyone?
Sorry to 'jack the thread, but I'm curious and this didn't seem worth a whole new thread.

they look nice but a bit too short : /
Not a huge fan of the stacked look, so there's that. And I hate having my jeans drag underneath my heels. Thanks though.

Picked up a pair of Bootcut Olas yesterday, thought I'd post 'em up.
I think I've definitely been bitten by the denim bug. This is my second pair of dry jeans in as many months. And I found myself eyeing a pair of PBJ's this morning. Don't think my wallet can really support this habit.
