  1. I grew up being a big Bungle/faith no more fan. Over the years I've kinda grown apart from being such a diehard patton fan. I've liked most of his newer stuff but just dont stay up on it like i used too. I was digging all the stuff he did with odd nosdam though, gold!

  2. also, the burton tent sale < the sale at the skatepark...?

    that doesnt sound right

Yeah i mean their tent sale has way more stuff, but also everything decent gets picked threw on the first day. People camp out now, and there is huge lines..Still might be worth checking out though. We pretty much do our sale at cost just to get rid of our old stock. "If it aint selling, it's costing"..

  3. Talent was way too expensive to skate, plus there were too many 12-year olds all over the place.

The B-Side (which is no longer there) was dope, cause it had a rad mini in the back that was free to skate. The downtown park is good too, cause you don't have to wear helmets. Unfortunately it's only open about half the year.

Dude, Talent is 5 bucks to skate w/college id for 3hrs, or 10 bucks if your not in college. How is that way too expensive? What would you like to pay for an indoor park? 2 dollars. Also it's never really that crowded with little kids, maybe like on a rainy Saturday, just gotta know the right times to come. Pretty much dead during the days in the winter and the night session is usually the older/more advanced sesh.......As you could prolly tell i work there, Talent is Rad though. We got a pretty stocked shop, all the skate kicks, Nike SB, Vans, Vox, Emerica etc etc. All the skate gear if you're into that kinda shit, Diamond, Hundreds, Krew, Altamont etc etc...Also carry Burton and all their other companies, been getting 08 shit already. If you're looking for a snowboard i'll hook you up with a good deal...Burton never really has sale's(except the tent sale they have coming up next week) but they only do 40% off last year stuff and Talent is doing 50%...Anyway i love Burlington, small, liberal, laid back city. I moved here like 6 years ago and plan on staying, used to live in Burlington but recently bought a townhouse is south B-town like 5 mins away.If you're into good weed and/or micro brews this is the town to be. Lots of hot college chicks always around ready to party, not soo many hippy chicks anymore. That scene isnt as big as it was a few years ago up here..Like everyone said lots of fun stuff to do outside, great hiking trails, cliff jumping, boating around Lake champlain etc etc..There is an AA store up here, Urban Outfitters, few decent boutique store's on church street..Nothing to great, but boston and montreal aren't to far away. As far as restraunts go, there is some alright places. Asiana house is my fav for sushi. Single pebble is amazing, both veggie friendly. Penny Cluise is the best breakfast spot! Vermont Pub and Brewery has decent bar type food, and brew all their own beer(great BTW)..Flatbread makes the best pizza in town, and stock all good beer..The bar scene is alright AVOID places like "what ales you", RJ's, RI RA's, all those places blow. Been awhile since i was a reg in the "bar scene" but everyone is hitting up places like the "green room, or Plan B same owners" 1/2 bar(small, $$$, all top shop) Esox is kinda the dive bar around here, mostly gnar skaters and local drunks...Few local galleries around, Pursuit is chill they always get skater art shows. Chris Pastras just did a show up here on july 4th. JDK has some cool shows as well, also a secret mini ramp downstairs. Anyway Burlington isnt the greatest city in the US, but there is alot worse places you could end up at for grad school. I hope you have a good time up here, people are really friendly and open minded. You could pull off that silver pants, u neck combo, but you might attract the wrong kinda anttention. Pretty big gay population up here, Vermont is one of the only states that allows same sex civil unions. Anyway safe travels, and welcome to Vermont.

PS invest in some long john and a extra warm coat,..winters are harsh

  4. Still kinda debating on these Altamont (alameda) grey raws. Just came in the shop today. They're a 32 and i think i'm a 31 waist? I rock a 29 in NS and dior MIJ 19cm. Anyway I know they're not going be the greatest fit for a pair of skate jeans, but something is off on these. The 30's were way too tight and small, only a 30 inseam. These 32 are really loose in the waist but fit pretty decent everywhere else. I think if we had these in a 31 they would be great. I'm not too crazy on them but for $51(employee discount) 80 something retail, they may not be too bad for skating and for switching up from blue denim somedays. Am i just comparing these too much to my other denim, or is the fit not soo hot?

  5. Recently picked up a macbook and i'm in love with it. So great, only beef is battery life. Think i might have to upgrade to a better one. Still have my dell upstairs but never turn it on anymore. Mac all day

  6. It's been a week, should i go back in and try to swap for a smaller frame? I work retail and would be kinda bitter if someone did that, but i feel the dude should've maybe showed me some different sizes or gave me the run down..Pretty much new nothing when i went in and have learned alot this past week, maybe i should've educated myself more before a purchase? How much of a diffrence will those 3cm make?

  7. I'm like 6'1 about 160lbs... do you guys think a 61cm frame is to big...been riding my san jose for the past week and am kinda used to it now, but i dont know if a smaller one would suit me better. Some dude said it was alittle big, but whatever i dont realy notice it.

  8. Do the New Standards (or I suppose APCs in general) bleed more/less than other raw jeans? I have way too much light-colored upholstery in my house to risk the wrath of the wifey.

Just rock a cuff in the house, and also sit on a blanket or something. that's what i do and my white carpets are still good( well kinda good, my dog and cat fuck them up once in awhile)..I'm happy with the way my NS turned out but have moved on to tighter fits(dior 19cm, cheap monday). Anyway gonna get some New cures when denimbar restocks, something i can skate in and beat on and not worry about blowing out the crotch(see dior thread). Do most people get their same size with NS and NC? I'm a 29 in both my NS and my dior, so i think i should be alset just wanna make sure never tried a pair on...Also any other US online stores that have them in stock?

  9. I basically skate like everyday, and just end up skating in whatever i have on. I thought everyone on here skated in their denim? I didnt think my denim would spit wide open like that, or else i would've skated in something else. Hidesight.. I bought those dior's to wear, and unfortantly shit happens. Although i'm optimistic they can be fixed(have to wait till tomorrow, place was closed today) anyway i'll post pics and try to get the crotch reinforced.
