  1. sold, thanks SF!

I bought these awhile ago on impulse, and considering that I already have 30+ jeans in my stable and I've never been able to "finish" a pair of raw jeans, I am going to let these go.

I thought they were particularly cool because they are "half-selvage," which I have only seen otherwise from Earnest Sewn. From what I understand, the denim is selvage denim spun on a medium width projectile loom.

The 101B was historically designed to compete with Levis 501. These are size 30x32 straight leg, fairly anti-fit, button fly, and they measure 16" across the waist, thus could fit a 31 or 32; however, I am not sure if they are sanforized, as the tag warns that they will shrink a size after washing. 11" rise and 8.5" across the hem.

These retail for $185, and I will let them go for $70 shipped anywhere in the US. They are brand new with tags and unworn; I have only tried them on. These are very hard to find in the US (I believe this pair was made for the UK market) and it's not often that you are gonna find high quality dry selvage jeans for this price :)

  2. sold.

This is the Invicta TT 8928 with original bezel. These were the watches that launched Invicta as a brand, and they were hommages to Rolex, as you can see. However Rolex sued them because of the design similarities (kinda like Levi's vs. the Japanese denim companies), and so Invicta changed the bezel style and thereafter stole the Omega SMP bezel :) and now this bezel is no longer made.

Anyway, this is the original, out-of-circulation, contraband deal, that I purchased about 4 years ago and wore maybe 15 times max. It is the spitting image of the Rolex ref. 16613, and in fact it would bother me when I wore it and people would compliment me on my 'Rollie.'

Case is 40mm without crown, exhibition caseback so you can see the movement, the movement is an automatic highly durable Miyota 21-jewel movement, crystal is hardened mineral crystal, stainless steel and 23 kt gold plating on the gold portions. Condition is about 95% near/mint with only very minor microscratches on the clasp (I attempted to show this in the pic below) Original box and unsigned/undated warranty card included (I have no idea if you can still fill it out and send in for the warranty), was sized for my 6" wrist, but I'm including the original 4 extra unused links so it should be able to be sized up at least 2 extra inches.Runs beautifully.

For sale in US ONLY, $90 priority shipped with tracking confirmation. [MSRP is $285]

  3. anyone know how much these stretch?

i tried on pair of 30s at self edge and they were pretty damn tight but they fit and i figured they'd stretch some....but wanting to save money, i wanted to get them from either denim bar or revolve for th discount but they only got 31s left...which ithink would fit perfect...but i fear stretching...

anyone have experience with this? im guessing these gotta stretch less than normal denim or unsanforized raw denim...

In case you're still contemplating this, I think you will be fine or better off with the 31. I was in the same boat as you, and I decided to opt for the 31s from revolve instead of sizing down. They are a perfect fit if not the slightest bit tight when sitting down.

I have to admit that my first impression was that they have been a little overhyped  on these boards. Before I get flamed and banned for saying that, I should add that i am very satisfied with them nonetheless. The thing is that I was expecting some overcrusted-indigo-flaking-extreme-slubbiness, especiually after reading the GQ report on the limited edition 1950s some months back (which I realize were $600 and not the same as the denim that I ordered.)

However, the color and texture is great (but I can't really distinguish by sight that they are naturally dyed,) the fit is awesome, and I am very happy with my purchase.

One thing that pissed me off for a moment, however, was the way they were factory-folded in their wrapping. The sides of the legs were folded in leaving vertical crease marks down the legs, which at first I was afraid would cause fade marks, but I'm sure they'll have conformed to my legs before that could ever happen. >>

  5. These are the RB1819 Overall Style jeans with cinch in back, that are meant to be worn without belt. There are buttons to hold suspenders/braces should you desire, but the jeans are meant to sit at your waist on their own, at your true size.

They are Japanese selvedge denim, but triple stitched, so the selvedge is sewn over in the felled seams, but apparent at the seams inside the waist and where the inside pockets are sewn. The color is called 'blue selvedge wash' so I assume they are a one-wash, although they appear to be raw.

They are labeled 30x32, and they were professionally hemmed to 30.5", however the actual waist measurement across is 16.5" (thus more suited to a size 32 or 33,) as such, they are just too big for me. They can be adjusted a bit via the cinch in the back, but as I am normally a 31, they bunch up in the back if I buckle the cinch tight enough for myself. So I would not recommend them if you wear 30-31, unless you like your jeans loose.

The cut is more like a trouser-style, with straight legs. You can see the same model at AE (http://www.activeendeavors.com/product.asp?catid=3783&listtype=c&pfid=AED14942)

however these are an indigo blue, not black.

AE has them for $253. They have only been worn once for about 8 hours, no wear or distressing at all, and I'll let them go for $100 shipped in the US.

  6. look like fakes made in thailand - If you bought them from Ebay from ID vintagejeansdealer or vintagelevidealer( I cant remember exactly) then I would bet on it. There is neg feedback on his account.

Hmm. . .I got them for $60 from a guy who had just started selling vintage clothing, and had 100% fb (but only from sellers.) Maybe he bought them and flipped them to me.

I knew the price was ridiculously low, but I thought maybe they were LVCs or something.

  7. I need a Levi's expert to help me ID these jeans.

Consensus on styleforum is that the tags and features are definately modern, but I'd like to know if anyone has any clue if these are LVCs, repros, fake, or what??. . .

They were sold to me as original late 60's vintage. . .but I think they are too good to be true. They are in almost immaculate shape, still lots of indigo, and the denim is nice, reminds me of my Corpus denim but slightly softer and thinner.

I know too little about Levi's to tell, the only thing i can compare them to is an old vintage Big E jacket that I have, but the jacket is much more worn in, softer, and much more naturally aged.

Some things that bother me about these. . .they actually say 501 on the reverse of the top button (I thought there should only be one digit, unless they are LVC which are 555??) The red line in the selvedge is very apparent, while most models I see on ebay are only white or very faint red (unless these are just not worn in enough?) And the inside rivets say LS & Co., etc., but the lettering is raised, while I think authentic rivets had the lettering pressed in??

Here are some pics. . .
