  1. I'm in the market for a new watch. My price range is about 1G~2G, a little bit more if I need to. I have never been into watches and basically the only brands I know are Rolex, Tag, Casio, Swatch and nothing else really.

I'm a minimalist when it comes to fashion in every sense but Breitling watches are so sexy right now...

So my question is are Breitling watches really worth the price? Or can you guys recommend me a minimalist simple watch?

    Thanks.

  2. So I'm in the market for a nice watch. I just graduated from high school and I'm looking to buy a classic watch that I can wear now and 20 years later. I'm getting this as a graduation gift and I have about 1G to work with. What kind of brands should I be looking at? Any specific recommendations? Oh and I I'll probably be going to Hong Kong and Japan this summer, are either of this places well known for cheap watches? I currently live in Korea. Thanks in advance.

  3. I'm heading over to Tokyo from Seoul on the 22nd for about four days. Me and my one other friend are just heading over there to chill for awhile. We will spend four days and three nights there and are planning to have two days for shopping and two days for sightseeing and culture stuff.

I've been there a couple of times but one time was when I was really young and the other time was for a tennis tournament so I don't really know wehere all the good shops are. So what i want to ask from you guys is where all the good shops are and some excellent shops I should visit.

I'm just into simple, not-too flashy stuff. I'm looking for relatively cheap stuff (eg 2,000yen per shirt) that kinda stuff. I'm willing to blow on high quality stuff like nice jeans or maybe a nice jacket. I'm also looking for some nice simple underground sneakers. So I guess I'm looking for simple things that I wouldnt find else where easily other than Japan. But not too expensive.

How should I divide up my shopping days among shinjuku, ueno, harajuku, shibuya? Any other places I should hit up? Thanks in advance!

  4. I think I am "luckier" than most of you in that I am not surrounded by horrible dressers that dress in AF + Sevens + Northface. I live in Korea and most of my friends just follow the current big trend in Korea, which is usually of the 1 year old Japanese fed. Now these are the "trendy" friends I have. And then I have this one friend who is pretty much like myself if not worse. He is really into the European and Japanese stuff and owns more clothes than I can imagine. I showed him this website once to and he loved it. So us two connect really well. And we always like to clown on our other friends' sense of style but they don't even get pissed off cuz they don't get it. So yeah. Haha.

But seriously, I would hate to see dudes wearing AF northface and sevens and acting all pimp.

  5. I'm a noob and I have read the encyclopedia but I still have some questions.

I am planning to pick up some New Standards soon (my first selvege denim) and I'm hoping to see natural fades, not the highly contrasted ones.

Should I was them before my first wear? If so hot or cold for how long?

What should Ibe washing your jeans in while I wear them and how often? Dry cleaning them, cold/hot water soak for how long? Or regular machien wash?

    Thanks.

  6. Yup I have checked those hypebeasty stores in Rodeo. In fact I live about 5 mins from rodeo street and chill their almost on a weekly basis haha. They don't really hvae a great selection of bags. And the few they have are overpriced.

I haven't had the chance to check out the Uniqlo store in Korea. What are the prices like? Do they have a large selection? Never head of Muji before, checking it out as I type...

You seem to live in Seoul?? Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking? I didn't think there would be a lot of Seoulites on here.

  7. I'm looking for an earth-toned messenger bag that I could use for school. But that doesn't mean it has to be huge, just big enough for a binder or two to fit in. Any brands to look up? Websites? Headporter bags would be perfect except I live in Korea and I dont know of any place that sells them here.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.
