I'm about to purchase a jacket/coat that will primarily be used for skiing and general outdoor winter activities. Would I be better off with Arcteryx or 66 N.I.? Which is better in terms of durability and quality?
Thanks.

It's military surplus from US wings. I ordered it today. They have it in sage green, black and blue for $139.99 plus 20 for shipping.

I'm placing an order for a Spiewak N3-B Parka and have to decide between a Size 42 or 44. Do these jackets generally fit loose? Should I size up or size down, or are they true to size? Thanks.

I got the regular (non-winter) Greenland jacket about six months ago from o-polloi. The jacket is outstanding quality. Fit is a little loose, but it is definitely a light Spring/Fall jacket. The fabric is kind of like tent fabric, so it wears well and is pretty durable. It is very water-resistent, too. I would recommend it, but it may not be warm enough for East Coast winters unless the insulation is better than I expect it to be.

Just stumbled onto the vexed site after reading a few posts here - the jackets look great but I wonder what type of clothes Vexed is selling these days. Other than the hoodies, nothing seems to be available online or on ebay. I find that surprising. Has anyone run accross a site that sells this stuff?

Both Arcteryx and 66 N.I. are available from www.backcountry.com, I think. Also, my local moosejaw mountaineering sells Arcteryx.
