Julius fit pic, for people that asked. I'm about 33" or so around the chest, fit would probably be ideal for people in the 36" or so range.

For the folks that have asked, I'll try and have a fit pic up of the Julius piece sometime this weekend, depending on how busy I am.

I'd heard Alden no longer does one-offs, but I could be wrong about that. If I'm back in Hawaii this fall as I'm planning, thinking about coming by to plan out a similar boot myself, Tom.

Due to my unfortunately rather narrow feet, putting up a pair of boots that I just don't wear much. First up, AF53 shell cordovan boots from Alden of Carmel, size 8.5 D. Nearly new condition, creasing is minor. They will also come with Alden cedar shoe trees and a container of the #8 cordovan paste wax, as well as the shoe bags. Tried to take multiple photos showing how the color changes under light, but it's tough to capture.

Retail on the boots alone is $570, asking $375.

Pure Blue Japan AI-001 Size 28

18.5 oz denim, dyed with natural indigo by hand.

Purchased pre-Levi's lawsuit from BiG, so they have the blue tab. I've too many pairs of denim and not enough time, so I'd rather see these go to a better home. AIs come in one wash state, so there should be no more shrinkage. New condition.

A mix of cotton and cashmere, v neck that's great for layering. Material is quite light and stretchy, so measurements are approximates.

Hey Chicken, you have any updates on your Indy boots with the honey vibrams? I always thought those looked quite good.

Just got back from the Alden store in San Fran.........WEARING MY NEW WHISKY CHUKKAS!!! Thats right kiddies, they have a very limited run, double leather soles, avail. NOW!!!

I was trying on the #8 Chukka's and asked them if there was any hope of seeing Whiskey Shell again before 2010.... and Robert, the gentleman working, said "Interesting that you should ask!....." He disappeared into the back room and came back with boxes! They have Whiskey Shell in D width only, in a decent size assortment, and even a few pair of Cigar Shell Chukkas. None of the above are out on display in the store, but ask, ask, ask!! I'm stupidly on vacation without a digital camera, but pictures will be posted when I get back to L.A. over the weekend

By the way, if you want Alden whiskey or cigar, call up Cathy at the Alden Shop in DC. Tell her Tom sent you. They have some loafers, wing tips, and plain toes right now. No boots though so don't waste your time asking.

No boots is the unfortunate bit, Tom! Plain captoe boot in whiskey is probably my dream pair of Aldens.
