  1. i hate the very few black women who fetishized european white men. wtf?

That post was epic, but I like black women who like white men.

I hate Armenians though. I don't really like Turks that much, so it's not solidarity with them, and all the Armenians I know are Russian-speaking Jews, who I tend to dislike a lot less. Someone's gotta hate them I guess... a nation that wails and pities itself with its tongue and massacres with its hands.

I'm looking for NGO work in the Caucasus next year too, so maybe I should get over this.

  2. sayword, i have an interest in history in general. i don't think i know a lot about black people, i just think that in general, black american history is generally neglected, misrepresented or minimalized in this country.

    A-fucking-men.

Kenyatta had a good style sense for tricking white folks:

  3. Hey chucklebean....

I'm not a huge rum fan, so I haven't been, but the new Pan Pacific hotel at Westlake and Denny has a place called "Rhum bar at Marazul." A buddy of mine was impressed, so if you're looking to sample a ton of different rums, that might be a good start.

The best stocked bar in the city (if not anywhere) is the Zig Zag. They're dedicated to classic cocktails more than anything, but they'll definitely have some rum you've never seen in the liquor store.

AWESOME. I'm definitely gonna check these out... they seem like the best place to investigate Havana Club by Bacardi. Thanks dude!

  4. You know when someone's snoring and it crescendoes and there's one big gasping snore, and then they're quiet again so you can quickly fall asleep?

My friend is with fever upstairs in my loft and she's not yet reached that point after half an hour, and from experience I don't think she's gonna. It's louder than my fucking box fan.

    No-door-havin-ass ho.

  5. I have a friend who rounds his bills up to the next dollar. He told me that one night as he was getting his pen out to sign a $19.83 receipt at the Cheesecake Factory. I said I always like to have round numbers at the end too, assuming he was leaving $24 or $25. I look over as we leave and the fucker left $20.00.

He's sitting on like $95,000 in eight bank accounts at age 21. He delivers pizzas too!

  6. I'm embarrassed that I like the new Fall Out Boy single. Extremely embarrassed.

I guess in my defense the guy's voice reminds me of a girl I knew back *right before they were popular*. On that note, I think FOB was probably the most popular unpopular band ever, because everyone I've met liked them *before they were popular.*

  7. hahaha you don't know much now do you? I'm quarter TIGRAY and rest AMHARA. also i have no "eritrean" in me.

Interesting topic. I dated a girl who was half Tigray and half Taiwanese...

Eritrean as an identity isn't that old, maybe one day it will supercede Tigray and the other Eritrean groups the way Kenyan has superceded Kikuyu, Nandi, Luhya, etc. (at least outside Africa).

+rep for being Tigray, them girls are pretty.

  8. Fucking HOT weather has given me a heat rash on the back of my right leg, because my jeans are tight? Looks like it's cortisone + seersucker trou for the foreseeable future.

On the plus side, my mustache went from "perceived sex predator" to "1870s German general" today.

  9. why not go to seattle for an adventure?

    hehehehe

There was a lot of talk about this in that thread about picking up women. If he don't like Vancouver, he won't like Seattle. Fact of life :(

  10. I'm growing the nastiest asian mustache right now.

It is going to be awesome/horrible at the same time hopefully.

No such thing as a nasty mustache.

Okay, that's not true, but good for you.

I'm moving into week four with this thing on my lip. I have this titanic struggle in my head: since I know the 'stache isn't attractive, I have the girls v. mustache fight on repeat up here.

    Mustache wins every time.

  11. I had Salmon Benedict in a rooftop hotel restaurant in Victoria when I was eight and I've been hooked ever since. In Seattle, Pete's over in Greenwood (Phinney?) do the traditional very well, but if you ain't Greek you wait longer. Just my experience.
