  1. Roselli knives are first, working knives. They have stable, tough, beautiful wood handles that are very ergonomic as well as easy to grip and a pleasure to hold, and allow using the knife firmly without fatigue.

Steel used is forged high-end Swedish steel which has long been used in the best hand-tools for custom cabinet makers. It has the advantage of being tough and durable, while still taking a fine edge and is easy to sharpen.

They make about ten knives that are over 3", in both the 59-62 HRC and 64-66 HRC ultra-high carbon range.

To me they are the end all in a fixed blade knife, for someone that wants a lovely TOOL that they can use and easily take care of and isn't a fussy collector or enthusiast. Something nice that works well, looks good, and feels good to use.

I browse this thread pretty frequently, don't dig most of the stuff on here (I'm not into the Navy SEAL type style), but I am seriously considering one of these knives. +rep and thanks.

  2. I initially sized down one on the 011s and they were impossibly tight. Like I needed 2 more inches to get the waist buttoned (I do have a booty). I went up from 29 to 31but probably could've gone with a 30. The waist is a little big but the fit is nice overall.

I would recommend you go true to size.

  3. Is it too early to make a new PBJ contest thread? Ya oughta think about it.

    Anyway, back with non-contest talk.

I haven't been on Sufu for quite some time (it's generally bad for the bank account, I've found), but I wanted a new pair of jeans and this thread has been educational.

I decided on the xx-011, mainly because I haven't been wearing boots too frequently and like the tapered fit on my KMW rockers.

What my actual waist size is, I have no idea. I wear a 30 in most brands, so I got a size 29 in the 011s. Big mistake! The waist needed to be another 2 inches bigger (pre-soak!), and the fabric on the thighs was already pretty damn snug. I sent them back to Gordon and I'm getting 31s instead.

Maybe my size confusion is due to these jeans being lower-rise than the cuts I'm used to wearing, so the waistband is more of a hip measurement than a real waist measurement.

Anyway, thanks for all the info, guys. Hopefully the 31s will work for me, and I'll post up a pic or two. Braidkid, we're waiting on those post-soak pics!

  4. Here's a great pair of Lad Musician Lace-Up Boots, Black, Size 42 in very good used condition. They remind me of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac for some reason. No scuffs or other damage and light wear on the soles. Made in Italy. Zippers at the back of boot. They have a narrower tip but it's not overly pointy. These boots retailed for about $600.00 USD. $300.00 USD shipped within the continental USA.

I would say the boots should fit someone who usually wears a 9 or 9.5.

    Boot measurements:

    Insole (approximate) – 11 ¾’’

    Outsole (heel to toe) -- 12 1/8’’

Ball of toe at widest point – 4 1/8’’

    Here are some pictures:

  5. I bought the smallest size Cultizm offered, but they were too big. Worn maybe 3 times. Hot soaked twice. There's a bit of indigo staining on the suspenders, and some light creasing/honeycombing/whatever. $185 shipped inside the continental USA.

    Check the measurements:

    Waist: 16" x2 = 32"

Front Rise: 12" - they are high rise, measure 2 fingers below your bellybutton.

    Thigh: 11"

    Inseam: 32"

More pics on request. They are great jeans, they just don't fit me. I'm tired of my girlfriend yelling at me about them. Buy em off me so I can buy some jeans that fit.

  6. Hey guys, got a somewhat simple question that I hope you can answer.

I busted out my old pair of APC New Standards the other day and man, do they fit perfectly. I am not fond of the denim that much at all. I would like to replace them with some high quality japanese denim.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a pair of japanese denim that fit exactly (or as close as possible) like the APC New Standard?

    Thanks.

  7. Up for sale: A beauty of a Sierra Designs 60/40 jacket in a size small. I'm so sad this doesn't fit me. $110 shipped in the USA.

    Here are the measurements:

There are no shoulder seams so I estimate 17" shoulder to shoulder.

    Armpit to armpit: 21"

    Armpit to cuff: 20"

Measurement from the seam where the hood attaches to the bottom hem: 29.5"

    And here are the pics:

  8. how is it useful when riding? why do you need to access your pockets while you're riding a motorcycle? You're not going to answer your cellphone (I hope!), or light a cigarette, or apply chapstick or whatever the fuck.

also, I am a bit confused about the pockets at the bottom of the pants. what good are those? keeping $ for tollbooths? you surely wouldn't want anything valuable down there.
