I haven't posted here in a while. Last time I bought a pair of jeans was two years ago when I got into the Dry Bones/S-E contest. Needless to say after two years the jeans are almost falling apart (in a good way). Looking around Gordon's website I found the anniversary jeans that looks like a nice mix between the Samurai 500 and the old Evisu with the green fade. Last time I bought denim from Blue in Green it was the Warehouse contest jeans. Wasn't disappointed. Will post pictures when my pair shows up in the mail.

you asked for peoples opinion, yet you didn't say what kind of fit you were looking for, these jeans stretch a decent amount, the rise is an issue of how you wear/want to wear your jeans.
fair enough, I usually wear my jeans on my hips. If they stretch a good amount, it sounds like it would be fine. Thank you sir.

check the measurements they arent the same jeans bro
I know they are not the same jeans, I was asking for a comparison. Measurements seems pretty similar except the rise, and I believe it might have an impact. I was basically asking the opinion of people who had bought both jeans.

I got a quick question for you guys. I was in the Dubblework contest last year and my pair was a 36. Should I also get a 36 for this contest or should I sizee up a bit?

#158 reporting in.
Well it's been a year for a while for me but did not find timne to post the pics. They were taken on my year mark though. Well this was quite the experience. This jeans went through a break-up, a new job in a comic books store, a good year at school and a new girlfriend. Crazy the memories a piece of cloth can keep. I will be wearing them a little while I think, they are not where I want them to be yet. Enjoy.

I'm horrible at taking pictures but I still wanted to make my very first update. They are 8 months old, have been washed once and have been soaked twice. My front pocket as well as the crotch are completely destroyed. I need to make a trip to the tailor quick.

Its been mentioned before but a slim straight cut with a light taper from the knee to the hem would be nice ( not sure if it still qualify as a straight cut but still)

Rise is a bit high butnot overwhelmingly high. Still thinking about sizing down 1, will see.
I soaked them twice sofar. I<'mknow thinking about resoaking themand throwing em in the dryer for 30 minutes, take out all the shrinking. Will post update tonight.

I need to have my contest jeans hemmed. The last tailor here I tried was horrible so I need a new one. ANyone living in Montreal could give me a place or two to check out ? Any chainstitching by any chance ? I thought I first I would send them back to Gordon to have them hemmed but I don't have the 35+ dollars of shipping it would cost me.

In a moment of weakness I decided I couldn't wait anymore and decided to soak my jeans. They are inthe tub right now, I'll probably give them a 3 hour soak now and another soak after I get them hemmed.
The newspaper shot, bonus point: Habs won 7-4, crazy.
The number, 158
the mandatory patch picture.
And some pre-soak pictures. Seat is a bit tight now but overall I think these should be fine once the shrinking is out of the way.
And my mascot and new friend for the contest, Fatal the snail.

I received mine this morning. haha I was so happy the postman must have thouht I was nuts. So yeah i'm #158. I think i'm going to wait until November 5th to soak, although I might cave in and do it tomorrow morning, we will see.

Cool soulcraft. Did you tumble dry them at some stage? I did some testers in the drier and the leather came out like that...the indigo rubs on it and kinda reverses the logo.
Yeah I did, twice actually. They actually shrank a bit after their first dryer adventure. They only thing I regret now is that I didn't wax the leather patch at all. I'm sure the result would have been better.

Just wondering do people when they post their jeans in here give the actual amount of days/weeks/months worn, or just how long they've had the jeans?
This is a bit confusing at times.
Example, Soulcraft upthere is saying that his jeans are 8 months old but that they didn't get the amount of wear he would've liked.
Does this mean that he didn't wear them for the full 8 months?
If he would've only worn them half of the week then they would effectively only have 4 months of wear in them.
Just wondering.
Well Ido amit there is not set standard on how to define the exact amount of wear and how to represent it, I usually assume the following, taking my own post as example.
8 months means I bought the jeans in January. Not the amount of wear I would have like to give them: although they were worn every month of the aformentioned 8 months, they weren't worn every single day.
I use to keep trackof the amount of days of wear they had but at one point decided otherwise, decided it was the point where I would draw the line.

are you in a new-age dance troupe? or are you practicing magic (the last pic is like "shit, my spell didn't work!")?
I do both. When I'm at Stonehedge, with the WICCANS, we often dance and practice magic at the same time. If you ever wanna try it, I highly suggest you bring a goat with you.

The 811 are so nice. I'll eventually need to get a pair. They are third on my list. Next is Samurai 5000 black and thena pair of Sc okinawa... then the all mighty 811.

I was wondering, how does the Indigo terry sweater runs? Is it slimmer or a bit larger? Thanks!
