specifically anyone know of any bike shops where i could pick up a fixed gear in boulder? seems like such a sporty town theres got to be somewhere, but i can't find much online.

I can't really speak for Brolder, but if you make it down into Denver, check out Cycle Analyst on Pearl and Turin on Broadway. CA generally has at least KHS Flites, and I believe they sometimes stock (or can otherwise order) Giants and Somas (and Surlys?). Turin stocks Bianchi and I believe some other stuff as well. I feel like I'm forgetting some stores, but eh.

Yeah pretty much there is nothing here. The fact that 80% of our Saks men's sportswear department consists of Boss and Diesel (and we have both a Boss and Diesel store in the same mall...) speaks, I feel, volumes for what you can expect out of Denver.

I picked these up from my work (men's consignment) on an impulse, they felt like they were a good fit for the few seconds I tried them on, but having worn them around for brunch once, they turned out to be too small. I typically wear a 10.5 or 11, I would wager that these are probably a 9.5 or 10 (there isn't a tag size I can find). They're in great shape, a bit of scuffing on the sole but not much, I don't think the consignor wore them more than three or four times and I've worn them out once.

I picked these up for my girlfriend at the shop on 14th last May, thinking that a size 26 would be good. For some reason, they're 16.5" across, so (as you can see) they're pretty big for her. I've put them on (they actually don't fit half bad for a guy's pant) and I have to wear a belt with them or they fall off. I dunno if they're mis-tagged or what, but the denim itself is great, wonderful feel. These have been cold soaked once, and show some signs of wear, particularly in the back pockets.

I bought these and the black model, and I don't really feel like I need both. I've worn them around the house, and that's about it. These are odd; my mom (bless her) got me these two Christmases ago from ebay, so I have no idea if they're authentic or not. I've googled around and found threads on men.style that suggest DH does indeed make a 32" inseam model, I dunno. They seem pretty legit, but what the hell do I know.

Bought 'em, they're beautiful, I just never wear them and I don't know if they'd ever give enough to be really comfortable on me. I should have gone with 28s, but I was impatient and they were out of stock. These are the raw model. I've worn them maybe four times.

Hey all, I have a question that I hope someone might be able to addres:

Does anyone remember the opening scene of Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet? At the gas station, the fight between the Montagues and the Capulets. John Leguizamo is wearing these outstanding leather boots, and the entire heel is capped. Does anyone know where I could find something similar? The costuming for the movie was done by Kym Barrett, who is awesome, so I imagine they're a unique piece, but is there something else floating around out there? I've found heel caps at some western wear websites? But nothing that caps the entire heel, which is really what I'm after. Man those boots killed...
