How are the Levi 501s made of "premium japanese denim"? I don't know much about them aside from that they are definitely not LVCs, but are raw and selvedge.

Sorry if this sounds vague, but I don't have much to go off here. I looked on the levis website for a similar sounding/looking pair and couldn't find one.

Does DC/NoVa have any good thift or consignment stores in the area?
