  1. Selfridges in the UK have there "super brands" sale on. 70% off dior suits 50% off jeans. Lots of dries van stuff aswell most 70% off. Also all Praha shoes are 50% off

  2. not sure if this has been posed yet, but i'm looking for some basic (but not feature-less) word processing stuff for school. basic essaying and note-taking type stuff...seems like MAC Office is NOT the way to go...any suggestions?

    Free shit is always appreciated.

It's not free put I would recommend iWorks it's worth the price for anyone of the apps

  3. all the tailors on savile row

By no means all the tailors on Saville Row. Tailors like Gieves & Hawkes, Henry Poole & Co and Kilgour. But tailors such as Richard James, Nutters of Savile Row and Ozwald Boateng no.

  4. My small but growing collection. Currently looking for a skinny plain black silk tie not as easy as it sounds everyone I find is either to shiny, has a patter of is to wide, Any suggestions?

  5. This is still one of the best Macs ever made 12" PowerBook G4

    powerbookg412zc6.jpg

I totally agree, wish I had not sold mine.

But I love my macbook pro appart from the fact it's a bit to heavy to be carrying around all the time I think it is the best mac I have ever owned when I take into account it has replaced not only my PowerBook but my G5 as well.

I quite fancy a macbook air as my portable email and web machine, but it's to expensive to justify at the moment, I keep getting tempted with buying another 12' PowerBook on ebay but don't really want to take the risk.

As for design call me a fan boy but i think the current line of macs are the best looking notebooks I have seen, Ive is a pupil of Dieter Rams the greatest product designer ever. Plus I don't really fancy using anything but OSX

  6. just reading through and most of the brands I hate have already been covered.

Personally I hate most brands that lack creativity Von Duch is a good example as is

    Pinapple, Juicy ect.

And all the hip hop brands, Echo, Fubu, Phat Farm, Sean John ect.

As much as I hate the D&G brand, The plain Prada stuff and Armarni Exchange I realize that these are just money spinners so the brands so they can afford to put on spectacular shows and have beautiful stores for the main line brands. That said I hate ed-hardy, Diesel and Dsquared.

Also really dislike Y3 at the moment especially the trainers

  7. Safety wise central london is pretty much like most other major cites, Just don't flash your cash and be carful of unlit areas after dark.

The Tate modern is a must see in my book. One of the best collections of modern art in the world.

It might be worth taking a walk around the "City of London" area there is a lot of stunning architecture to see.

The tower of london, houses of parliament, horseguards parade is pretty missable unless you really want to see it.

Covent Garden and soho are worth the walk around for shopping and nice places to eat. Westend if you are into shows and musicals. Camden and Shoreditch for bars clubs and independent shops.

Also if you can fit it in the British Museum has enough stuff to interest you what ever your into. But if you want to see the terracotta warriors show up early as it gets sold out fast even on weekdays.

And finally as a slightly bias suggestion get a train up to manchester (check on the Internet day returns can be very cheap under £25) and have a look around the second city which in my view has a lot of cool stuff and is totally different to London. With travel it is a long day but could be worth it.

  8. I personally love my made in england fred perry polos, great fit and last forever. I also have 2 CDG (made in portugal) The fit's not as slim an in my opinion the quality is not quite as good and they don't justify the extra £20, also the recent designs have been pretty weak. I would not even touch other fred perry stuff it is produced under license and the quality is crap as is the generic designs.

Also on the subject it's often worth checking out the sales at the official fred perry stores and on there web site as they have pretty good reductions 50% plus in a lot of cases.

  9. Personally I think it could be a big year for late 80's/early 90's running shoes.

It already is adidas reissuing the ZX600, 700 and 800 plus the torsion series. Nike with the airmax one, 90's and 180. I just wish they would reissue the air max 89 the fogot air max

  10. BAPE - Its dead and buried Nigo has lost all direction

BBC - Icecream - please Pharell go back to making music

CK jeans - Quality has dropped IMO

NIke SB - ran out of ideas obssed with making everything have a concept "mork & mindy" dunk WTF

Umbro - if it ever was alive its dead now

    Adidas ADICOLOR - HYPE

  11. Nike SB and Bape are dead as far as originality goes.

I agree with many of the other post about Vans, they are starting to roll out really nice OG modles again but i'm affraid they are going to end up like New Balance once they twig its cool extra $$$ on every shoe.

Creative reaction fall line is looking really promising, also adidas origonals have a few gems amoung the increasing about of below par stuff they keep hyping.

Maybe even the year shoes make a come back. Visvim and others are begining to look very tempting

  12. i believe these are adidas skate shoes?

    10nreki.jpg

I wonder if these will be as bigger flop as adidas last skate line the ST's.

On the origional bit it seems like adidas are pumping out reissues pretty fas now, In my opion they need to slow it down and consantrate more on the heratige and history of ever individual trainer + CW untill then i thinks its ebay and independent stores for me hunting for all my grails.

Adicolor = hyped up crap (ok I have said it)
