  1. my gf and i just had a "huge" fight, where she actually smacked me in the face, first time ever. we basiclly said that its over, but live together..what the hell am i supposed to do? thank god for sufu.--

had the same thing last year. Had to live with her for a month and a bit after the split. She threw this heavy glass candle holder at me and busted a tile on the floor, then a picture frame! Watch out for Italian tempers! Fortunately we had two bedrooms so she moved across the hall.

Funny thing is once we decided it was over we started getting along really well again. Made it kinda sad when she moved.

  2. I can understand the lighter denim for the warmer climate but It's also nice to have something thicker for the cold climates. Personally while yes my legs do get warm in my Sammies I think they are the ideal weight for year round wear. Here are my suggestions.

    15oz denim

    Indigo fades better

New cut from last contest. I want something new :D

If Samurai will do it I would like something from them that is unique, I like the sounds of green arcuates or something else superfuture related

I like the straight fit. I wear skinnies sometimes but these are more versatile, and more comfortable. Size down if you want.

All the same denim. The F1 example is flawed as everyone is on the same track. The jeans are the control, lifestyle is the variable.

I will definitely be entering again if the jeans are Samurai. I absolutely love everything about these jeans.

  3. The hippy lady at Community Natural Foods convinced me to get lavender as it would be a relaxing scent, I really do like it! I think in the Bronners bottle it says that it's non-foaming so thats always nice.

I actually use it in the shower sometimes to. Good stuff.

  4. They stated it was cool if you have another address to ship to. So if Boo knows someone in the states who would receive for and ship to him then he's set. Boo if you find yourself without a contact PM me and I'd be more than happy to do it for you! And no I won't steal them.

No the JR contest was fine, the uniqlo one is only for the states. I wouls have posted in tat thread but it's locked.

  5. Picked these up from BIG while in NY last week. I'm a 34 in SC, 32 in V5000. 32 in these were way too tight on me in raw, so I went for 33. All pics are pre soak-is there a reason that all the LHT that i've seen doesn't seem as slubby as RHT?

Jesus soak and pics already, I want to see how these back pockets look.

Debating what I want to buy when the tax return comes, 5000BK if I can find my size, Lee Repro or wait on some 21 oz. I wanted to maybe get something other then Samurai but I really want those bks.

  6. That maybe the problem but it's important for a brand to protect themselves and their image. I know the Nudie rep for western Canada whored out the brand completely. I can think of 5 shops off the top of my head that Nudie is sold out of in Calgary, and many of them within a 10 minute or less walk from one another.

I understand it’s the reps job to sell these things and make money but they have to be smart about it.

Also I remember an article written on the guys that started Nudie and they made some comment about how they are only going to make jeans because they want to maintain focus, yet as of last year they started making pinstripe pants and corduroys. Funny how the potential to make a profit can change somebody’s mind. Not to say that somehow making other types of pant affects the quality of the jeans, just an observation.

Edit: Also I don't think over exposure is the problem, its the price/quality problem $300 for selvage denim that tears in the crotch is unacceptable, with a little research cheaper and better alternatives can be found.

  7. Worried about this, as surely a retro-fitted zip won't have nearly as much strength as the factory fitted one.

Are you kidding? The zippers from the tailors are going to be at least as good of quality. Just go get it fixed.

  8. Anyone know much about Marinoni bikes? From what I've gathered there Canadian made and seem to be of good quality. Right know I ride a 2003 Devinchi Destination that I was able to pick up on the cheap but I have been looking at adding a fixed gear to the mix if I can do it for the right price.

I've found this setup for $100cad, not sure on the size, age or condition yet but if it all checks out would this be worth it? I only bought my other bike last year I don't really want to spend too much also I'd like to maybe build it myself to gain some experience. Think it could be done for $4-500 including the frame if I use some pretty run of the mill components?

Edit: Heres what I ride now. Some old man rode it for a couple of years then upgraded. I paid $500 for a bike that goes for $1200 new, I figured it was a good deal.

edit2: So I've done some research and I think I've found two brands by the same name. Either way they seem to be of good quality.

  9. i mean, how hot is this video???

    edit: took out video

My girlfriend and a couple of her friends hung out with Feist after a show a few of years ago before all the hype. Went to her hotel room, unfortunately I have no sexy stories to tell. :(

  10. RB 2140 comes in 50 and 54mm sizes, the 2132 does as well, look at them in person and you'll see the "slant" everyone is talking about. The 2140 is definatly harder to wear but cool if you can pull it off.

  11. Fuck the Leafs, I saw a chick walking down the street the other day in a leafs jersey and people where heckling her. I'm a Detroit fan in Calgary and nobody shows me any love bunch of bandwaggoners anyways, my buddy who I though was a diehard Canuks fan bought a Flames jersey last year. Anytime he wears it I shake my head at all these fair weather fans.

  12. I believe the I and II are just different sizes of the "new" flat style. Rayban has recently re-released the old style slanted ones. I've found these in the mall, I have a pretty wide face and I find these a touch hard to wear, almost look "catty" on me.
